change valve cover gasket till RM700.perghhhhhh.

hahahaha. ini price mana nih. laugh.gif

Entire set of gasket. Ada paham? There was leakage of engine oil into the coolant, so they had to flush out the radiator and remove the entire engine block. Basically the next closest thing to an overhaul. Together with engine oil and radiator coolant. Took them almost 2 days to do it.

I realised more and more members here are becoming more oblivious to the information that were shared.. Wanna know something, tak search. Terus tanya je tunggu spoonfeed. Then when info is provided, tak baca betul betul. Terus hantam piece of mind.

QUOTE(Cavino @ Aug 11 2014, 08:50 AM)
Actually you don't really measure how long an engine oil can last by the colour of it. If its clear even after 5K, it could mean the engine oil is NOT doing one of its major tasks of cleaning your engine and suspending the contaminants in your engine oil. As a matter of fact, if its an older engine and it still looks almost golden at 5K, I would suspect it might not be cleaning then engine at all....where the heck are the contaminants....

If you use an GOOD engine oil and it turned black after 2K, it could be cleaning your DIRTY engine wondrously and suspending its contaminant in its oil.

Once it goes dark brown or near black, one of a way (not the only means) is to check if your engine oil is still watery. If its getting thicker or in worst case scenario, sticky like thick gravy, then CHANGE it immediately, its a goner. If its a used only in short time span, you either got yourself a extremely lousy lube, its a fake lube or you got bloody dirty engine.

Therefore a GOOD lube can turn dark brown/black after 2-3K sometimes and as long as its still watery, its doing its what an engine oil should do. Of course, if its celup brand or fake ones, no one can guarantee if its working even if its still watery.

QUOTE(Sphenix @ Aug 12 2014, 10:53 PM)
when my car put in D gear and didnt accelerate, there's "nguk nguk" sound from wheel, any idea? I just changed breakpad and the technician claim that is it due to bearing not break pad, is it possible?
*
Nguk nguk? The only 2 sounds I know is ahh ahh & piap piap. This is something new hmm.gif

Be more specific. What triggers it? Only in D gear without stepping on brakes or with brakes? Handbrake up or down?
"Technician". The word you chose to describe a grease monkey in a workshop so hai keras ah. He could be right about the bearing, but wheel bearing noise should also persist while your car is moving.

I think it could be due to installation of breakpad too tight, the slower the louder the noise is.
I couldn't hear noise if I accelerate, maybe the rotation too fast it spin off the noise, but definitely is not persistent.

or perhaps workshop in PJ recommended?
*
Front or rear wheel? If your rear wheel are drum brakes, could be rear brake shoe too tight causing the noise. Drive around in an empty carpark then get down and try to check if there are any burning smell from the wheels. If there is then it could be the brakes.

Go sifus, I hvh a doubt here. Do u all feel that the steering of persona a bit getar compared to vios? Any reason behind that?
*
If new car I not sure. If old car could be that the mountings are bad. Try checking your engine mountings to see if the rubbers are torn. Mountings depends a lot on driver. The PE I drove, after 2 years only steering and cabin vibration can give 15 yr old xmm orgasm.

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Aug 24 2014, 07:27 PM)
My guess is that it's because the Vios uses EPS instead of a HPS system.

Edit: And under what situation?
*
Because god car. Smoother than rolls Royce, remember?
