I just had a go at Dead Rising 3 PC. From the get-go, I immediately disabled the 30fps cap limit. My machine is quite beefy, and I can say it only runs ok on my setup. It can't sustain 60fps or higher. SLI is not supported yet at this time, so there's still hope it will improve in the future. For now though...

Resolution 720p, 900p, 1080p what a crappy "great PC port"
in cut-scenes game drop frame rate to 20, when there are 5 ppl only but when lot of zombies it's 30 fps. Skipping movies = frame drop goes to 10 for 3 seconds and back to 30 in game. Typical shitty loadings even before Main Menu I must wait 2 minutes to see PRESS ENTER Also game quality 720/900/1080/Full WTF!! |

I'll probably try the 'ehem'2 version first and see how it goes in cut-scenes game drop frame rate to 20, when there are 5 ppl only but when lot of zombies it's 30 fps. Not good to get it now. Looks like a very bad port to me.
Wait for them to fix all the problems and get the game on a discount on Black Friday/Winter Sale |

just finished fighting the first boss. first impression about the port: not impressed. graphic looks ok, and 30fps doesn't really matter to me. but it still not consistent. got fps drop few times. i don't know if the xbone version looks like this but if it is, it looks terrible for next-gen.
regarding the game itself, like the new combine-on-the-spot style. no need to find workbench to combine weapons like DR2. though I'm not sure if you can combine items without the blueprints like DR2. Coop is good, people cam just jump into your game and not interrupt your progress. you can also set your matchmaking preference so your coop partner can play well with you. gonna explore more btw, Afro Nick ![]() This post has been edited by memphiz_zero88: Sep 6 2014, 02:42 AM |

fuuuu the new weapon combo is freaking awesome. even got shoryuken combo (he even shouted that when attacking
you still need the blueprint to combine, unlike DR2. at first , must use exact item to combine, but after upgrade can use any item in same class. magazine now doesn't use your inventory space anymore, so you can carry as many magazine as you can. but only one can be activated at a time. already found a bug where weapons will completely gone when thrown and so far no crash yet This post has been edited by memphiz_zero88: Sep 6 2014, 01:56 PM |

i didn't really care about the timer. heck, if not enough time, just reset the story progress since your character progression is still be carried forward. and the timer moves really slow in normal so got enough time to explore.

Dead Rising 2 and Resident Evil 5 to be moved over to Steamworks next year
QUOTE It's a mass zombie outbreak on Steamworks - Capcom's undead-smiting hits Resident Evil 5, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising: Off the Record are all migrating over to Valve's platform "early next year". These are the latest Games For Windows Live titles to make the switch to a server framework people generally don't despise with every fibre of their being. They follow Relic's Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising, which completed the same transition last week. GFWL, Microsoft's much-maligned gaming service, shut down earlier this year, leaving several popular multiplayer games without online functionality. Capcom is one developer working to solve the problem, but it's not going to be a swift process. "Current owners of these PC titles will be transitioned over to the Steamworks versions early next year," reads a post on Capcom's blog. "Once we have specific dates ironed out, we'll have more information about all three titles and their respective launch days so stay tuned." We'll keep an eye out for any further updates.
