For 100Mbps package using ZTE router, what is the maximum speed we can get? Whenever I'm downloading something, the max I can get is 1MB/s - 2MB/s only. Sometimes can get 4MB/s but rarely. I'm using direct LAN connection, not wifi.

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Mar 29 2016, 05:11 PM) Performing speedtest to several well know servers, averagely you may get 9xMbps with LAN connection... Actual download may varies. Yup, speedtest result usually can hit 60Mbps - 92Mbps but actual download never hit above 4MBps - 5MBps (usually using torrent with 5k+ seeder). Is it normal? Should I do anything to improve the actual download speed?

QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Mar 29 2016, 05:26 PM) Don't use torrent as measurement tool, torrent is too subjective even with 5k+ seeders, if they are seeding others and have limited bandwidth to share, you won't get full speed. Try direct download, e.g. download YouTube video, local YouTube CDN is fast enough to serve you with all the bandwidth you have. Thanks bro I will try your suggestion tonite.

QUOTE(Kanuki @ Mar 29 2016, 06:06 PM) Theoretically 100 Mbps = 11.92 MBps (or 10.72MBps if minus 10%) maximum speed. But it still depends on many factors to be able to achieve that speed. Yup. I will try as suggested by terence_nwb, to direct download to test max speed.

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Apr 3 2016, 03:00 PM) Hi Bro, ZTE H298N has Gigabit port...it definitely can handle > 100Mbps with cable connection. I can send you test results.... Thanks. Hi bro jjj2, can you please send me test result? Currently, my laptop only have 100Mbps ethernet card only, so I cannot test but planning to buy gigabit usb adapter soon. Thanks. QUOTE(TXSim @ Apr 3 2016, 07:31 PM) Thanks for your info. Which Wi-Fi router you are using? Some Wi-Fi router via lan can't achieve 300Mbps. ZTE Wi-Fi router provided by time only max 100Mbps via lan. Hello TXSim, you mean ZTE H298N via wifi cannot reach 300Mbps or via LAN? Thanks.
