Can someone in Klang valley do a ping test for me?

I'm looking for results to the ip: 88.150.184.34

Looking to switch out of streamyx due to abysmal gaming pings (it has jumped from an avg of 240ms, to 480ms this past month), but first I need to find out if it's actually better elsewhere.

Thanks!

It's the same with TIME. 433ms average round trip.

I think it's the globaltransit.net node that it is travelling on that's causing the huge spike. What server is this?
*
Thanks, good to know.

It's a VPN I occasionally use, but it's close enough to the Eve Online servers (which don't actually provide a response to a regular ping attempt) that I can use it to get an idea on what my game ping is like.

Here to make a post about my experience getting TIME Fibre.

I connected with user yeapch01 and he gave me some info about the service and offered a free trial and rebate as well. I filled out the paperwork for 15mbps and sent it off.

As I wasn't yet there for the installers to get it hooked up, it was a couple weeks before I was connected (my fault, not theirs - I was moving house at the time).

The installation team hooked the service up in relatively little time, and I was ready to go. Speeds reached 15mbps easily for torrents, direct downloads, and steam game downloads. International game pings were better than I'd ever had with streamyx (TIME gets me sub-200ms for west coast usa, 230-240ms for mid-us, 220ish for europe, depending on country).

My free month wrapped up, and TIME started offering a 20mbps promo for the package I was on. I sent off an enquiry as to whether I was eligible to yeapch01, and he got it all sorted for me (as my actual service plan started during the promo it seems I was eligible).

So here I am, sitting happily at 20mbps, with great pings and at a cost close to what I was paying for streamyx 4mbps previously. If anyone's on the fence about signing up, let this be a bump towards getting hooked up. And look this guy up, he's had my back through the whole thing and knows what he's doing.

Back up in Kelana Jaya, but according to Time's own speed test, I'm only getting half of what I should be (10mbps instead of 20).

Yep, as soon as I noticed it had reconnected. I'll try again now.

No one downloading (I am now, and I was before, but stopped to do speed tests of course). I'll see how it is tomorrow I guess.

If no improvement, what's the best course to have it fixed?

I'm reporting back in to let you know it's (almost) back to normal. Getting just shy of my previous speeds, but I can live with that - it's only about a 5% difference.

19mbps. That missing 1mbps is the 5%. I used to get a tiny bit over 20, but as 20's where it should be at I can't really complain.

So 'back to normal' over here.

I'm also having a terrible time with anything after the 100mbps promo came in. I used to be able to download at my full 20mbps speed from torrent/int'l sites, but now I'm lucky to get 4mbps from those same places.

Game pings are also a little worse off too.

Locally I get 79mbps, according to the Time speed test, but that doesn't help me actually do anything useful. Int'l speed tests (via speedtest.net) peak at 8mbps.

It's not just torrents, it is ALL international traffic being shaped.

Awesome, it looks fast, right?

But wait ...

So it looks like there's some serious problems with TIME and their international routes.

Thanks for your kind feedback. Would you please provide the TraceRoute path, so that we could analyze it & feedback to Technical Support team.

Thanks.

Dear bro

Thanks for your kind feedback , we need your trace route detail so that we can feedback to time tech support team

Kindly email yeapch@gmail.com or  whatapps 012 4900601.

Thanks

Below are the tracerts for my above speed tests.

I skipped the KL test as the problem seems to begin at our border. If you feel it's needed, please let me know and I'll add it in.

I have also sent this to yeapch@gmail.com (in case it makes it easier for you).

If there's anything else you'd like me to do, let me know and I'll do it as I can. It's actually refreshing to have people that look into network problems instead of just saying "best effort" and hanging up on you (thanks, streamyx).

Hi Bro,

Thanks for your results.

For Japan, London, LA, results are fairly consistent & within acceptable range.
Anyway for AU, we can see that the node by AAPT is slowing it down significantly.

Please check out the pm for more details.

Thanks.

Heya, thanks.

I'm more concerned with the speed tests that I posted previously; the tracerts were just done by request. I still get absolutely horrendous download speeds to all the 'within acceptable range' destinations (sub 10mbps speeds).

It is also only since the implementation of the 100mbps promo. Prior to that, I would absolutely reach 20mbps (my package speed) to anywhere in the world.

Please pm me your Service Order No., we will highlight your issue to the respective team.

Thanks.

I think yeapch01 is having a look at it for me, I've sent an email with the results and at request also my account number.

I'll post back later when I hear back about it, or if I don't hear back in the next few days.

Any good recommendation on a replacement router? I'm still using the stock, and while it works fine, I could definitely use something with better range.

Darn, no wonder my P2P from 50mbps to now 30mbps after the free 100mbps!

Will this capping back to normal?

It's not just p2p that's being crushed, though. A few pages back I posted speed tests from around the world, which are not a test of p2p, but direct download, and they were truly abysmal speeds.
