Hi, can you provide me more information.

I don't understand it.
*
I have 300Mbps plan, but I'm only getting max 200Mbs for download. And this is with the Fibre modem connected directly to my PC.

What other information do you need?

Thanks for your info.

Which Wi-Fi router you are using?

Some Wi-Fi router via lan can't achieve 300Mbps.

ZTE Wi-Fi router provided by time only max 100Mbps via lan.

I thought I'd share this since it's not obvious to a lot of people. In fact, even I didn't realise it until a friend made me aware of this last week after he inquired about downgrading his package.

QUOTE
'You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at anytime, however, a downgrade is subject to a penalty equivalent to one month’s subscription fee of your existing plan. A plan downgrade will also result in the automatic renewal of your contract term for a period of 24 months upon the expiry of your existing contract term.

Note the bolded and underlined part.

He signed on to the RM179 package six months ago, and wanted to downgrade to the RM149 package because the new upgraded speed of 100Mbps for the lower plan was more than enough for his needs.

He expected to have his contract renewed/reset to 24 months, but was shocked when he was told that it was 24 months on top of the 18 months he still had left on his current contract, making it 42 months blink.gif. I don't think even Unifi does this for service downgrades.

So, there you go, when picking a Time Fibre Broadband package, be sure of the speed you want and can commit to paying for it for the duration of your contract, because a downgrade can and will be very painful.

Needless to say, my friend was ranting.gif and will not hesitate to look for alternatives when the time comes.

Hi,
My friend just registered the same time and got a new router which support 300mbps with wifi while i only get the old router with max support 50mbps. Is there anyway to change the router now? Whats the point if 300mbps if the router can only support 50mbps wifi. Please help clarify this issue on why was I not inform about the new router.
