any 1G router can guarantee a >850mbps speed with cable

WIFI very subjective, I don't think any WIFI router can give 500mbps.

I think max only around average 350mbps like that.... Even ac 3200...

so to fully utilized for example 300mbps...

Tie a PC/NAS to using cat cable to router, set max speed 100mbps.

For WIFI AC, average will be around 200mbps....

Hence using both will fully use up your 300mbps...

For 500mbps speed,

PC/NAS set to max 300mbps, remain 200mbps for WIFI smile.gif

THa is y I always refer to average WIFI speed and you all keep blasting that 5300 can get higher la this la...

I test my AC as well... when once after change setting and test, it normally will be higher, after some time of using... it will drop to lower....

hence taking average is the right choice

IMO, It happened because after u change setting, reset router, other user/deviced disconnected, and you will get better performance..
