Hi there, i'm a TIME user and the router they gave me is very weak. I don't mind changing to my own personal router, spending extra money, but when I tried to change it, I couldn't do so as the cable is not the standard cable that can fit in the normal router's port.

Tried contacting them via email and they replied me "Customer are prohibited to change the modem Fibre Optical Network Huawei Modem. We only provide the modem and router only. Any router setup, cable and configurations that are beyond what TIME would support." .

Okay, so I'm stuck using TIME with a small area of wifi. Is there any solution TIME can give if i wish to have a wider coverage ? (I'm just wondering do they expect all the customers to use the wifi within that small compound)

I gave up their customer service, but found that you guys are handling the questions here excellently.

You could be changing the wrong device, the device you ought to replace is the Router (Linksys E1200) & NOT the ONU (aka Fibre Modem).
The Interface for Router to ONU is a standard RJ45 network interface.
