Lumut is famous for seafood...but be careful of which seafood restaurants you go to. There are plenty of seafood restaurants in the outskirts of Sitiawan, located in the middle of palm oil estates and all that. People would think this is kinda unique and the food must be good if they can open up a restaurant in the middle of nowhere but be warned that those are seafood restaurants with Viet girls to "entertain" you.

What you would really want to try is the "sek pan yu tou" (in cantonese). Best to do it in curry or steamed Teochew style. I prefer the latter. Either that or Google really helps.
