It is default rootable btw, just flash the superSU zip file from MIUI forum and you are good to go, and that 480 DPI seems more than what XiaoMi official spec.

OS / overall system experience
The OS used is of course in house MIUI, and is quite smooth and not much bloats, as most apps bundled are very useful, and i do use them all, including MiCloud to do online backups, as FOC 5 GB for Mi3 owners, so why not. Memory management is also quite well done, as normally after a day usage, we still can get around 300 MB free RAM, and free ram is wasted RAM, so I am not concerned as long no stutters.

One thing that bugs a lot of user, is the camera focus, and it IS kind of weak and awaiting improvements to it.

ROM used: WCDMA Malaysia V5 + SuperSU flashed + WSM tools + MiBox which is like the XPosed frawework but for Xiaomi Mi3

Audio Quality
The SQ of the headphone out is nothing as raving as the S3 once was, not much on the clarity, but quite a pronounced vocal, flat as it might seem, I can use it to listen to some FLAC for long hours, and the Mi 3 supports USB OTG, so we can USB OTG to our desired DAC+AMp, and use USB Audio Player Pro to play the music and channel through our desired DAC + Amp

Verdict

For the price level and such hardware, once the camera issue is fixed, it will be one hell of a phone to be reckoned with. Sam, Hua, Nok, Son, and all others, better be prepared as Xiaomi takes over the world from the budget level, and you dudes, learn from this brand, man! You should do like this, *points to the brands*

Don't use short form when writing reviews.

I don't think Xiaomi devices will remain cheap forever. If you look at the number of devices being sold, it's more like targetting specific audience who knows about hardware specs and indirectly promote confidence into a basically unheard of Chinese brand. If they really wanted to make cheap stuffs for us, they could have mass produce like Huawei but they didn't. Once the brand recognition goes up, the selling price will follow suit. Enjoy it while it last.
