Ask yourself, "how much am I worth?", "how much is my time worth?" and then ask yourself "Would I pay me this much?"

and you'll have your answer.

For me i dont calculate like that, i do calculate how much time i would spend to solve the problem, and include the additional charges like petrol, toll, etc which incurs on me. Then I do use the maximum posible time for calculation to avoid any loses. IE If some1 ask me to develop a software, i would need to know pretty well the specs of the software he need and then i will think how many hours i need(max posible) and then multiple by how much i think my hourly salary my service worth(it depents on the market, if uses technology that seldom ppl has, it has to be higher)

again it depends on what company that want to use your service. how many servers and how many clients. from there u can judge the cost. don't u have any frens that also a freelancer? ask them. i have one, but don't know what he is doing. from cuci lantai to setup server. all kind of work he did. hehe..

I have not done any freelance job, but from my experience as an IT person you must make sure that the terms and conditions are well spelt out during support.

i believe u will only administer the system, isn't it? the service charge should be less.
if you're setting up from the scratch, then you can demand higher.

my system admin salary is 6000~8000 per month and she works 5 days a week. I dunno what u should expect. It depends on what will u doing. Maybe u can list down all task that will be ur responsibility. Don't they have their own system admin there?

haha.. u knew everything already.. just give ur price.. maybe around 2k ~ 4k (this is only my estimation - i dunno freelancer charges but application that u'll administer is the most critical one)

me? i'm working in "company for women". just an exec but doing system admins work.

500 RM per service setup (total 3000RM), 100 RM per hour support/administration would sound fair to me...
