I read good reviews (6moon, Stereophile and etc) about Leben CS600 integrated tube amplifier with Harbeth speakers. In various forums, people discussed Leben amplifier and compared various amps. Some even compared Leben with Shindo and Leben is preferred over Shindo due to better synergy with Harbeth. Not sure how true is that. Anyway, I never heard of the CS600 because I don’t know anyone who has the CS600 and there is no Leben dealer at Malaysia. I hope I could audition/heard it first before buying it.
Does anyone located at Kuala Lumpur currently own a Leben CS600 who is kind enough to let me audition it with my Harbeth M30.1 speaker? I could bring my M30.1 speaker over to your place. I will also bring along my CDs and Sennheiser HD650 headphone to test the headphone output.

Well... I guess I'll have to wait for the KL International AV show and listen to the tubes amplifier on demo there.

I don't think I've seen any Leben amplifiers at past KLAV show. Guess people who want it have to mail order or own import.
Leben is a high quality medium power amplifier, would drive any Harbeth nicely. Its derived from classic tube circuit, enhanced by quality parts to offer highest clarity and cleanest sound possible from this classic circuit.
I have a similar 30W tube amp based on similar Push Pull circuit with quality components and driving a pair of huge vintage speakers 4 way with 15" woofers.
If Leben specifications and reputation are within your ballpark, you can't go wrong, buy it.

My first time there. I saw and heard the Synthesis Roma and Cayin tubes amplifiers. Both sounded good. |
