I have been at this company almost for 1 month now
and the first day i sign my contract here, the HR said that there will no
OT allowance to those who salary below RM2k.

But she also said that government already consider to give OT allowance
to those who salary below RM2k but because of there is still no any "Surat Pekeliling"
from the government,so the company put it on hold too about this OT issue.

I have been OTs a lots even during weekends and it is sad bcoz there is no OT Allowance Same to my colleagues. (we r handling 2 big project atm)

So,how about u guyz?Get OT allowance?
Is that true what the HR said?

What is your basic pay?

Not sure ...I got extra 400 allowance from boss last month
cos unstoppedly working for 3 weekends and almost 3 days with 1-3 hours nap.

But do u thnk that's fair?Da*n it...i want 2 sleep rather than $....somemore after giving allowance we can't claim the expense (phone call...parking..petrol) ..
I just earn Rm200 for those bloody OT nites....~!@#$%^&

what you do when its ot 1st...lots of people stay longer for ot but actually doing nothing one.

just give excuse staying ot to give your boss impression that you are hard working.

i dont say you but most people do that.

According to my HR manager, overtime payment becomes mandatory for the following criteria:

- Basic salary < RM1,500
- Employee grade is non-executive

Basic pay is 1.6 and then i have COLA which is RM200 which total to RM 1.8k per month.

I am Executive level.Fresh Grads

And we not staying up late in OT doing nothing, Our bos know it.
2 big project atm in progress.

Its lucky for me since when i join this company,the project already in final phase,my colleags suffer a lot when it is in earlier phase.

And to boost our (my colleags,I still not join this company that time) morale (since our boss know that we depressed a lot due to alwayz OT and sleep at office), our boss also promise to give RM300 extra when 1st and 2nd phases complete.But now its already 3rd moths in 3rd phase and they still get nothing.

Dont work too much, many ppl died already because of not unable to get enough rest(either working/gaming). Believe yourself, your life worth more than that.
