And 1 more thing... the new spotlight on desktop is a joke...
Even now on Maverick I can easily press (cmd + space bar) and directly type what i wanna search there.. and *poof* result is there.. not even 1.5 second... I guess I wont rush to upgrade Yosemite until a more stable version released... |

QUOTE(Townshend @ Jul 29 2014, 08:42 PM) Currently on OS X Yosemite and just submitted my first feedback. but i still dislike the new dock... prefer the old one...Here is a screenshot of Yosemite running in Dark Mode. ![]() Anyway, I still won't use it as my main OS. I will wait for the official release. BTW, Safari is so freaking slow. It seems like Safari in Mavericks is faster. is the any setting can change back the old dock design? |

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Aug 4 2014, 05:18 PM) downloaded and installed mine on a seperate partition just to be safe OMG!!! THe wallpaper is SUPERB!!!!!yosemite is just beautiful.... the flat design might not be everyone's cup of tea but it certainly look very nice and simple in real IMO dark mode is best used with a dark wallpaper. a bright wallpaper will defeat its purpose ![]() is it come by default?? |

QUOTE(axn992 @ Oct 18 2014, 10:14 AM) If i upgrade from Mavericks to Yosemite, will all my current apps such as Microsoft office, parallels desktop 9 eg stays? or its a clean upgrade? no existing apps will be carried over If you direct upgrade, yes. all your apps and files still there. but it might be sluggish or buggy.I would suggest you to do a full backup for your things (document, MS office, Parellels, etc) to a external harddisk using TimeMachine. Then do a clean install for Yosemite. Its effortless and simple! This post has been edited by kopiPeng: Oct 18 2014, 03:20 PM |

QUOTE(our_team89 @ Oct 23 2014, 10:04 PM) question, if we backup data from maverick, it will backup all software also?if we backup data from maverick, it will backup all software also?then in yosemite no need to install back?just recover data from maverick Yes. Will backup everything which includes Apps and software. then in yosemite no need to install back? After your clean install, it will ask you whether you want to restore your Data & Software from a Backup Time Machine Harddisk. Plug in your Harddisk, select yes. Then it will automatically recover ALL your data & software from Maverick to Yosemite. If you have any question please do not hesitate to ask here ya~ DIY is fun! Enjoy the process~ Good luck!
