QUOTE(Townshend @ Nov 4 2014, 06:57 AM) I don't have such problem. Try using Disk Utility to repair permissions or disk. i've done the suggestion that you told me.. been doing fresh install twice but the problem still there..If it fails, you might want to do a clean install. further discussion about this can be found here --> Yosemite Finder bug, folders get unresponsive in icon view from the reading it seems to affect retina owner.. anyone here with same problem? if you have retina MBP or mac try opening finder in icon view.. it either show nothing or have artefact like in the example below (borrowed from apple support communities) |

QUOTE(egnblock @ Nov 21 2014, 06:45 PM) +1 most clean install shut be less buggy imo.. so the wifi issue doesn't affect me at all, both when i upgrade from mavericks and do the clean install.. the reason i do clean install was the finder cannot view item in icon view.. so far only affect retina MBP and 5k mac retina.. 10.10.1 fix that i believe.. because so far no view problem in icon using finder.. thanks for the heads up. I will wait till the next big patch, then i will go for yosmite. i saw some ppl say, if you do a clean install it won't have the problems? is that right? ayidafiq? |

hi guys.. is there any control panel like windows to uninstall downloaded program(s) completely or have to resort to 3rd party program on OS X? i can't find such menu or control panel.. wanted to ask this question since the day i bought my mbpr but keep forgetting it.. googling how to uninstall on mac suggest to use CleanMyMac2 which is i presume a 3rd party program.. is there any other way or is it the only way? if you guys have any good apps to suggest..

QUOTE(nogas @ Dec 16 2014, 12:05 PM) Actually in osx most of the time you just need to trash the app, and do not need to clean up the left behind files as they are mostly just small .plist setting files that does nothing... unlike in Windows where programs will leave stuff in your registry slowing it down and put dlls in /WINDOWS folder... thanks for the head up.. yes I'm a bit ocd leaving a leftover.. But if you are like me ocd wanna clean things completely and save space, this lightweight and efficient utility: AppCleaner can do it for you |
