im on mbp 5,5 i find this upgrade even more memory intensive than mavericks...sigh it lags badly when i have excel + word + pages + opera (5-6 tabs) opened at d same time even after flushing its inactive memory it just skyrockets in a few secs and kernel_task was at 1.8gb before i restart This post has been edited by blinkxox: Oct 18 2014, 01:18 AM

QUOTE(yuka @ Oct 20 2014, 09:01 AM) Thanks yes it works. And I thought Handoff works on MBA Mid 2011, or no? And why can't I send regular SMS via MBA? It says "The number is not registered with iMessage". Calling works fine though. check here to see if your mac supports handoff http://lifehacker.com/find-out-if-your-mac...osem-1605078625

QUOTE(digbick @ Oct 24 2014, 02:46 PM) I see, I think it's time to upgrade your mbp to retina Btw, do you make a clean install? I'm thinking of upgrading to Yosemite imo d only decent reason to upgrade to yosemite is d continuity/handoff feature so u better check if your mac supports handoff http://lifehacker.com/find-out-if-your-mac...osem-1605078625mine doesnt sigh no money to upgrade nowadays kegawatan ekonomi no i didnt clean install (got no spare ext hdd) - i think its best that u do but then again i read online got some ppl who did clean install also suffering from yosemite's wifi issues. i suggest u dont upgrade yet till apple resolves the problem bcoz wifi is fcukin slow now. QUOTE(Townshend @ Oct 24 2014, 04:35 PM) How about Safari ? It is one of the reasons to upgrade too because it is fast. I haven't updated my iMac yet so I can see the difference between Safari in Mavericks and Safari in Yosemite. ahh that is true! missed tht out lol. but wifi is so slow sigh. that is a good enough reason to wait till there's an update for yosemite.
