Also, Apple appears to have quietly filed for trademarks on a number of California-themed names which probably will be used for future OS X names.

The names include: Yosemite, Redwood, Mammoth,California, Big Sur, Pacific, Diablo, Miramar, Rincon, El Cap, Redtail, Condor, Grizzly, Farallon,Tiburon, Monterey, Skyline, Shasta, Sierra, Mojave, Sequoia, Ventura, and Sonoma.

itunes/app store/safari/spotify all state there's no internet connection.when i try to plug in LAN.it says connected but there's no internet.

my internet connection is ok.my windows on VM have no problem accessing the internet.

already done SMC reset.but still not working.

at first none can connect to the internet.i thot my wifi card/NIC is malfunction...but that is not the case since my Windows on my VMWare is working fine.

so decide to do SMC reset and NVRAM reset... but that only solve the wifi problem.still only chrome can connect to the internet.

thanks god after unload and load com.apple.discoveryd.plist all are working fine again.

It's working flawlessly in 10.10.1 before and once I updated to the 10.10.2 nightmares begins. I need to turn "Off" and "On" the wifi in order for it to works for few seconds or minutes then it will automatically unable to connect to the internet. Sometimes the wifi icon becomes grey and sometimes with an exclamation markon it as well. This is really frustrating since my networks only depends on Wifi due to certain reasons.

last night both of my MBA and MBP have problem with the WiFi.both are on 10.10.2 then the nightmare begins...
both show connected...but no internet.

done a NVRAM reset and SMC reset but to no avail.Reloading the dicsoveryd daemons also does not work.

at last decide to clean install back the yosemite and now MBP is working fine hopefully.

now my MBA is stuck.i can't do an internet recovery since the wifi is not working.

now need to do an USB startup disk first after work. doh.gif

the wifi problem for me still persists after upgrade to 10.10.2..

symptoms exactly like Joelles ...

did u manage to solve it?

i have no freaking ideas.

i did a clean install on my mbp to yosemite and the wifi is working like usual.

but not the case for my mba...clean install doesn't help.

downgrade to maverick, problem is still there...but with less occurrences.(if i do any torrent activities the wifi will hang)

but i realize, when i restart the router ,the wifi will works fine back until the connection drop again.

don't think it is the router.... my windows laptops/iphone/ipad is working fine.all of this problem start when i switch to Airport Extreme when the previous ASUS died.

u are trying install on a logical drive, delete your current partition then create a new one and proceed to install yosemite.
