Warhammer 40,000 gets the Unreal Engine 4 treatment in Space Hulk: Deathwing
Space Hulk: Deathwing, a first-person shooter set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 universe, is looking pretty great in its first batch of screenshots.
Based on Games Workshop’s classic Space Hulk boardgame (which recently got its own video game), Space Hulk: Deathwing is being built on the Unreal Engine 4 by Streum On Studio, which previously developed E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy. As you can see in the screenshots, Unreal Engine 4 looks like a natural fit for the Space Marines’ bulky armor and the dark corridors of the Space Hulk where the game is set.
In Warhammer 40,000 fiction, a Space Hulk is a huge collection of wrecked ships, asteroids, and other debris fused together into one enormous body floating in space. In the game, you’ll assume the role of Deathwing Librarian, who leads a squad of Space Marine Terminators through the alien-infested Space Hulk. You’ll gain Fervor Points as you play, which you can then spend on four skill trees, allowing you to improve your abilities, unlock new powers, and access powerful relics and new weapons.
Publisher Focus Home Interactive has yet to announce a release date.
Knowing what Terminators are, this game is gonna be extremely clunky to play as Terminators are known to move pretty slowly. They are literally men in large fridges with thick armor.
I dont know how are they gonna balance the game's speed. This is definitely not a CoD or UT-like fast movement.

Remember the lascannon from the Space Marine game? The one that is not so accurate lore wise?
Wrong genre in my opinion. If FPS shooters, ppl would just grab battlefield or COD. Warhammer should either go RTS, MOBA or maybe RPG. FPS is just weird.

Space Marine is so much fun even though its not RTS, MOBA nor RTS

Space Marine is neither RTS, MOBA or RPG and it was great. Much closer to the lore than even Dawn of War 1.
Death Wing is a completely different pace of FPS than Battlefield or CoD. Terminators are supposed to be extremely heavy armored but moves much slower, you can run and gun in a terminator armor like CoD.

So Battlefield and COD is the be all end all, alpha and omega, the beginning and the ultimate end, the best of the best of the FPS genre?
I wouldn't play it even if the game is given it to me free.
