Hi everybody!

I have looked through the forum but I still cant seem to find an answer for my troubles. I am looking for an alternative to acoustic piano as I'm staying in a hostel far from home. I saw few threads suggesting on digital piano. However, I would like to know precisely which type of digital piano should I look for?

My usage revolves mainly around
1. Practice as how its done with a normal piano
2. Live gigs

I am wondering if there is any keyboard that works great as above with midi features as I am into composing and mixing as well

Budget wise maybe around 3k?
