hello all.
thinking it about time to upgrade my Asus HD4850 card to something more modern.
i am looking for something around 800-900 rm price but something that will last few years down the line.
mostly used for gaming and getting into 3d stuff like Lumion 3.
no OC or anything btw.

any advice?

motherboard i forgot the model :S

GTX 760 or R9 270x. which is better?

yeah, sucks about the PSU. wad to do. edi bought and install. use it till it gives out i guess.

anyways, will be shopping around kuching for graphic card.
if cant find the gtx760 for a low enough price, maybe find r9 270x. both sounds viable. depends on the availability and marked up price range here.
not planning to OC also.

went to check out graphic card prices. browse around a couple of shops. found the asus r9 270x going for rm810. GTX760 on the other all selling above rm1250 (also from Asus) @@ Gigabyte r9 280x going for rm1230.

might buy the r9 270x. any thoughts?

They're priced rather steep. Don't want to consider postage? You can get far better deals that way.

postage... a bit worried during posting get damaged or warranty problems etc. doh.gif
buy from brick and mortar at least can point blame at someone if something goes wrong icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif

i'll hunt around for the cheaper gtx760 around kuching. IT shops here really disappointing with over inflated prices.

anyways thanks to all you sifus. i'll update when i get the new graphic card.

try get gtx 770 around rm1200
btw gtx 760 beats r9 270x

So I should get the GTX760?
is Gainward or Leadtek reliable? So far i seen these two brand fit my current budget. MSI and the rest are all around 1k.
I only been using Asus products before, so far hasnt failed me at all, but they are a little bit expensive
or should i just man up my budget and get one of those Asus GTX760 from lyn sellers here? do the price justify the performance difference?

sigh. dilemma till cant sleep haha.

aduh. kena poisoned la liddis haha.
GTX 760 10%> R9 270x.
GTX 770 25-30% > GTX760

now really thinking about GTX770 haha.

little bit overkill and little over the budget...
