Try AirBnB, got lots of apartment

My first stay with AirBnb is on Jan 2015. So far heard a lot of good reviews

Pier 21 @ Terminal 21 - Pad thai is cheap and good (30b aht)
After You - honey shibuya toast is fricking good but exp. (170 baht)
coconut ice cream @ chatuchak - normally cost 30 baht for one cup with a free coconut drink. Add barley as toppings, heavenly.
Kaiton Pratunam - same row as Platinum Mall, the oil used in the rice makes this different from the rest of the pack
grilled pork at any street - cost around 10 baht usually and taste very good

worth skipping
Som Tam Nua @ Siam Square - overpriced and nothing special.
Sukhumvit Soi 38 - touristy place, prices for food above average and nothing really special. Hawkers there can speak english tho, rather try normal street food at other sois around that area. (tip: dont even bother to try the pork rice)
Number One Brand thai tea - teh tarik is def better

Asiatique food court - Pad thai is rubbish and expensive, rest of the food court too.

the food court was jam packed so we thought just settle with the wonton noodles which was rubbish too

Go where the locals go even that sometimes the shop post a sign to inform people that they charge more for non Thai speaking people

ok next month when I'm there I will try and speak some basic Thai when ordering, see see can get some discount

Meh, I just came back from Bangkok. I always get mistaken for a Thai anyways.. until I open my mouth  (can only speak basic Thai)

is there any facility to shower and change in Don Muang airport? Will be arriving early morning and have a late night flight out on the same day. Am planning to book a van (5 pax) with driver to go visit bangkok city then head back in evening for late night flight to Japan.

Or is there any hotels that rent by hour? just need a place to shower, freshen up for the midnight flight.
