It seems like this website give the wrong info (check out number 59 and 79).. http://www.cityngv.com/ngv-refill-station/klang-valley/PETRONAS Sunway Semenyih is an NGV filling station. Popular with local taxis.

Terrace they said no. I asked them how can be called eco if even this simple rainwater harvesting is not there? SA just smiled, dunno what else to say. This post has been edited by sarled: Jun 5 2014, 08:24 AM

They could have priced this into their selling price and people wouldn't complain as it fits into their "eco" model. As it stands, eco is now nothing but a name......... nothing functional.

QUOTE(treehill @ Jun 5 2014, 08:33 AM) You should have told Datuk Chang and Tan Sri on the launching day I could have, but I knew it would have changed nothing. So I felt a little cheated by the name and decided not to buy instead.

The eco in their name should imply environmental sustainability or at least some sort of energy efficiency. I saw minimal of these.

QUOTE(treehill @ Jun 5 2014, 08:45 AM) Not to say cheat la.... if they advertise already and never give then is cheat. At the end of the day, they also need to give more premium to semi-Ds or bungalow buyers compare to terrace. That differentiate the class ma.... Yup. Please don't take the literal meaning of the word cheat as what I meant. It's the expression

QUOTE(tengster @ Jun 5 2014, 08:47 AM) bro, let me understand you a bit more.... what are your expectations? Terrace houses should be targeted for energy efficiency as they have the most units for sale in this development. I didn't see rainwater harvesting, natural ventilation (even toilets are mechanically vented) designs, skylights, extra height water tanks (no need for pumping in upstairs showers) or heat insulation efforts. I think they will provide solar water heaters though.

QUOTE(treehill @ Jun 5 2014, 09:01 AM) Bro, at the end also they also need to make the houses more affordable. If add the things you wish for then buyers have to pay extra how much wo? 15K more? 20k more? Now already got people complaining is pricy.... Anyway, understand your disappointment... I also wish the terrace house will include those solar power heater and rain harvest system. Agree with you, everything comes at a price. Just wished they had stuck to the eco concept that they were so excited to sell with.

I wanted to even test their environmental sustainability concept by asking where they would source their construction materials, how many % recycled materials, whether they will use their run-off water ponds for environmental purpose etc......... but I decided there was no way they could have answered me, so I didn't..

QUOTE(treehill @ Jun 5 2014, 09:11 AM) Maybe you can aim for the upcoming clustered semi-D or Semi-D? I am sure they will have more things included than terrace... somemore they should have more space... Bro Teng got a valid point there. If include rain harvest system, where to put? No place already since each of the houses build up size so huge (unless is an end lot or corner lot). You can check with the SA to confirm they are including what for the semi-D. You are right. But I just wished these concepts were included in the house designs to begin with.

QUOTE(Ma6 @ Jun 7 2014, 02:55 PM) We need more of you. The most carbon conscience countries such as the scandinavian are already presenting footprint and life-cycle assessment for most built environment including residential. I hope EcoWorld could lead. As we also know, most buyers in Msia are also not interested (just read what we forummers talk about at LYN) . Nobody even blinked an eyelid when the brand so proudly called ECOmajestic had nothing ecological to offer/sell to us. Sad actually.

QUOTE(New Klang @ Jun 8 2014, 10:04 PM) How do you justify your statement? What is a good guide of how an eco township shall be? Is it science and can be validated? A good start would be if the Ecomajestic project subscribed to the GBI Malaysia rating standard. The sales people didn't tell me that they did, so I assumed that they didn't (and then I left.......). If you read the attached you will find that for a new residential project both site sustainability and building energy efficiency are most valued. These two didn't seem to be mentioned or promoted by many people, whether in here or at the sales office. Correct me if I was mistaken. Attached File(s)
