Navy patrol boat HMAS Bundaberg catches fire while undergoing refit at Hemmant shipyard

A MASSIVE fire has broken out in a shed in Brisbane where a Navy patrol boat was undergoing a refit.
Defence officials confirmed the HMAS Bundaberg caught on fire just before noon.
Smoke billowed from the shed and could be seen for miles.
Fire crews were called to Barku Court in Hemmant around 11.45am.

hello new member here, just curious why malaysia dont want to enlarge pulau layang layang and make it a small town with a few hundred residents?? the reef seems big enough to fill with enough land and it will create a very nice lagoon where maybe navy ships can be based. seems like a good idea??

1. like i said jn the diving spots are on the perimeter of the reef not within the reef
2. a few fishermen wont really hurt the region right?? or we can settle people there to engage in economic activities other than fishing, maybe a small refueling harbour, bigger island with more attractions...

4. well if there are only soldiers there could be a repeat of johnson reef skirmish, but if there are civilians i dont think anybody will really try to invade it because it would give the world a reason to intervene ; human rights etc like what is happening in gaza.. or maybe nobody would intervene much like what is happening in gaza..

Too cautious. Riot macamana pun, ini still situasi law enforcement,bukan military action. Rakyat US still ada hak bersuara walaupun dalam riot. Dekat US, kalau polis rasa satu tahap dah tak boleh handle situasi, Governor kena panggil National Guard. At least kerajaan negeri & polis boleh cakap la,kami dah tak boleh control rusuhan,pohon bantuan national Guard untuk ambik military action. Ok,serah pada National Guard. Ini sampai military action pun polis sendiri yang buat, kalau kat US dah dianggap melampaui batas kuasa polis.

Setakat ni, takde laporan kata perusuh tembak senjata api atau serang anggota polis, memang ada cases looting dan pecah masuk so pada pendapat aku masih keadaan law enforcement lagi. Sepatutnya tahap ni masih guna riot police,bukan polis paramilitary units. Ada beberapa veteran tentera US complain, masa diorang serang Iraq pun diorang tak bawak senjata seberat tu. Itu time perang tu.



Setakat ni aku tak pernah tengok PDRM hantar PGA bawak M16 bila ada rusuhan kat sini.
