Hi,
I would like to suggest that maybe we could setup a subforum for accomodation rental. I think it will be more convenience for those who wants to look for places to rent.

Suggestion: setting up subforum for house rental.

That's what the "Property" tag in Garage Sales is for.

However, u c, renting a house is not like buying something. So, I think there should be a special section dedicated for that.
A lots of products sales threads will bring those rental thread down, provided that the rental thread might also be bumped once as well. Its very inconvenience. This post has been edited by jinyee80: Aug 7 2006, 11:41 PM |

How many property rental threads are there that we need a whole subforum to cater for it? If you tagged your thread is 'property' potential renters would be able to find your thread easily enough.

Okie, I believe it will increase if there's some place for them to post. Just a suggestion anyway.

When you go into the garage sales, you will discover that not many threads are tagged, therefore its really hard if someone intend to find something.

Well wouldn't that problem lie with the threadstarter himself? It would beneficial for him and those who are searching if he tags it.

The beauty of the tags is really that its self-serving. If you tag your thread, you'll realise its you get to sell/rent your product much quicker since passive users easily get to find your threads.
I'm hoping, with time, that people will realise this. |

Meanwhile, I'll think of ways to encourage tag use. Possibly something like not being able to post until a tag is selected.

QUOTE(wKkaY @ Aug 8 2006, 07:28 AM) Meanwhile, I'll think of ways to encourage tag use. Possibly something like not being able to post until a tag is selected. Yeah, make the tag a must. I must say the tag is really useful when ppl realise it. It's trueSuggesting : - tagging a must - search form can search by tag (drop down list) as well, cos some tags (which seller had tagged) may be a few pages behind and we can't recall all the tags rite?
