There's no 'real' competition going on for the game. This is, after all, created as a single player game with progressive and cooperative elements thrown into it.

play the story mode, faster level your character to level 70

save gold, materials

dont spend anything
reason: gold quite important, u dont have advantage like most pros here, which can carry few billions from old feature - auction house tongue.gif

gold = can use to craft better gems, improve your gears, etc

welcome to diablo world

nothing is too late
i guess diablo3 will have further expansion, thats why only 1 new character came out from original to ROS biggrin.gif

It is never too late... With this new patch.. You can easily obtain gears that can do high difficulty content...

Your friend gifted you a diablo 3 key... Original Diablo3 ? Then you would need to get the expansion pack..

Anyways .. Just give it a try and see how things go.. Good luck and enjoy!

No problem if you are new. I too just started a few weeks before RoS came out. And now I am already on par with my friends who bought the game on launch day.

there is never a "too late to start" for Diablo 3 unless you are very competitive person yourself and would love to hit 70 as soon as possible then that's a different story.

just take your own sweet time and enjoy the game. although D3 requires a connection to the internet to play but it's not a MMORPG and you won't have irritating high level characters disturbing you. you can be in your own world doing your own thing in single player mode or even play in adventure mode and set the game to private.

even if you join a public game, nobody harasses you.

further, because of the dropping of legs and sets items, you may be even better off by starting late compared to those who started farming earlier than you. it's an unpredictable game.

D3 is a gear based game.
What you need is godlike gears.

It's never too late to start.

Good luck. Fresh meeeeeeat......

-.- TS says he's a newbie so I don't think he/she will go on and play Hardcore mode and for PK to work, both parties have to willingly join the "arena". no one can just PK out of nowhere.

It's not too late, but it will be a lonely journey unless you can hook up with someone to carry you through all the to Malthael. After that, you can start on the adventure mode either privately, in public or with some friends/clan member.

But you're lucky that some form of trolling were patch up compare to earlier days where someone lead all the monster/elite into to town and when newbies enter the game, bam.....
