Just got myself the Philips BDM4065UC. But forgot to check my HD5870 graphics card. The GC can only support DP 1.1, therefore cannot drive the monitor to 4K @ 60Hz, only 30Hz currently.

I will upload come photo of the monitor setup later today. But man, this is a giant. Cannot see myself going back to a smaller monitor.

hi guys,

so im looking to go for 4k at 28" and ive narrowed down to samsung u28e590d and xb281hk.

the samsung is 18xx-19xx with shipping, but someone is selling a new xb281hk for 21xx shipped to jb here in gs@lyn.

im not into gaming, just looking to start enjoying 4k on general pc use and maybe in a few years time enjoy light gaming. im green camp, so having gsnyc is a plus. however is the 21xx price for the xb281hk too cheap? not sure if trustable since seller is not the standard reputable ones.

Not yet but planning to get from garage sales..

Why this model instead of other cheaper models in eBay? Because of the slight matte surface, which is less glossy than other panels which are super glossy. A monitor that's glossy is a super no no for me.

i myself can go either way, but matte is always preferred. any way, while they are cheap, warranty would be a super hassle. bangwall.gif

Oh btw, I've made an order for the AMH A409UHD 40" 4K monitor already biggrin.gif

Should arrive next week. Can't wait at all. Will post pictures thumbup.gif

with koonghx? nice bro biggrin.gif

i've read a few reviews and the a409 is very similar with the philips 40" but better picture quality and newer connectivity options. i think the panel is the same on both.

One big difference is how glossy the Philips TV is vs the slightly anti glare AMH A409U. Anti glare is my most important criteria in a monitor so a lot of monitors are out of my list already biggrin.gif

i'm not too fond of glossy screens too. saw some people remove the glass part of their 4k korean monitors but some can't as it is glued together permanently.

how about the warranty? how long the seller covers the monitor?

Really need help here in getting 60hz at 4k. 30hz is fine but when I select 60hz the whole screen turns white and bottom half is flickering like mad. Any help?

Using display port supplied with the monitor, GTX760 which can definitely output 4k @60hz, did a clean reinstallation of graphics driver already

Latest monitor from Korea "AMH A409U" 40" 4K @ 60Hz monitor with 2x HDMI 2.0 and 1x DP 1.4 smile.gif

I finally solved it by creating custom resolution with "timing standard" set to CVT Reduced Black.. whatever it means lol.
Already solved it rclxm9.gif

YEAH the monitor is super awesome!

great! how much total was it?

can you try this test for me? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnPrGXG_30o

Only first test had that "issue".

Anyway what is it about?
*
seems that all current 40" 4k monitors use the same panel with same issue. got some light 'banding' and bleeding when move the sample image. but users say cannot see them in daily usage.

Thanks for the tip, I am hoping to get something at the range from 46 inch to 55 inch.
*
at those sizes, im not sure a monitor would be available. although if you have hdmi2.0 then you can get any 4k tvs for your usage.

Can't believe my AMH A409UHD has 99% sRGB coverage lol. 78% aRGB and 74% NTSC
