QUOTE(limadekad @ Mar 14 2016, 03:28 PM) i don't want to sacrifice quality for reso i doubt my gc can handle 4k monitors maxed out But I think if there's a 30" monitor FHD, the quality will look bad since the ppi is low if watching at normal PC distance. If just for desktop and viewing photo's etc, i think even low end GPU can handle 2560P or 1440P. Only when it comes to gaming, the GPU will be a problem. Anyway, even if you have UHD monitor, you can set the game to play at 1080P. Or you can get 32" FHD TV. This post has been edited by adilz: Mar 14 2016, 08:41 PM

QUOTE(zzzz52 @ Mar 14 2016, 07:52 PM) Have anyone tried the Philips BDM4065UC 4K monitor? I see that for the 4K monitor, it is quite cheap. Spec wise looks decent, just that the GTG is pretty slow at 8.5 ms and brightness is 300 cd/m2. How much is it?

QUOTE(limadekad @ Apr 2 2016, 11:48 AM) nah, i'm looking to buy 1080p >30" monitor but those available are at 4k reso. If buy 4k reso then upgrade gc. Then after 2 months new card become available have to buy gc again. Heh heh heh. Buy lah the 4K >30" monitor. You can still run 1080P on 4K monitor until new GC comes out. But if you buy 1080P now, trust me when you upgrade GC, then you will say the monitor don't justify the GC upgrade. Still end up having to change monitor. Plus if if you get 4K monitor, you can test run games at 1440P or 2160P. Not necessarily have 4K monitor, you need to run all your games at 4K. I run most of the game I play at either 3840 x 1620 or 2560 x 1080 if the game supports 21:9 format.

QUOTE(| e 3 h y 0 r | @ Apr 13 2016, 05:56 AM) planning to get wide monitor, budget about 2k. purpose for work, movies, football and minor gaming. any recommendation? Get Samsung u28d590d 28" UHD Monitor. I have one, and one you've seen video clip at 4K, 1440P and 1080P looks kinda blurry.
