A lot of people recommended IPS screen and not VA Panel, which i can understand but I am perplexed when I looked into Samsung 4k monitor including their new Smart Monitor, M7 and M8, all are VA panels and not IPS.

Does VA Panel in this newer samsung monitor really still bad?

And does 4k HDR for OTT contents, meaning i can stream netflix in 4k?

Note: I just saw Sifu Andew's post about 2nd gen VA Panel is good, but i still not sure what is good haha
Found the answer: Since all 3 models is VA panel, beware they might have black smearing issue as until now only Samsung Odyssey G7, Neo G7, Neo G8, G9 and Neo G9 don't have Black Smearing issue. But from all the cost of this 3 model, I doubt they use latest VA panel from Samsung.

And also i am looking at 28" UHD Monitor - R55, not sure this is a 4K monitor or not, since i dun see the 4k word in Samsung website

Samsung basically all product is VA or OLED only. They is very few VA is good, the rest all is bad. The model you mentioned is indeed 4K and IPS but it is a value model, don't expect very good thing and it also don't have HDR.

You want HDR which is true HDR is very costly, a minimum of RM 4.5k is required and it is 3440x1440 QD-OLED monitor from Dell - AW3423DWF

For 4K good in HDR, you need to spend at least RM 6k.

Thank you so much for that, from your ultra wide thread I also managed to know the website rting, which have a very good review in monitors and from there the agak agak budget punya 4K monitor shall be the Samsung Odyssey Neo 8 (32 inch) , from there i think the HDR is good enough? although may not be true HDR
