2. Samsung U28D590D
3. Asus PB287Q

I found that the color reproduction of my monitor (Dell P2314H) is not accurate. When watching video, the skin tones tend to look yellowish (not the whole face, only certain angles hit by harsh indoor lighting. The skintone looked alright when I played the same video using LCD TV as external monitor). I try to adjust the brightness, contrast, R,G,B but still can't get the color that I like. So I keep reading up and found that TFT Central published some ICC profile of the monitors it reviewed. They don't have ICC profile for P2314H but it is available for P2414H. I donwloaded it and applied it. The color looks much better even though the ICC belongs to another model. I just did some minor adjustment and now the color becomes much better.

I don't plan to buy a color calibrator. I did found one ICC profile from a Chinese website but after applying it, the color looks even worse - too yellowish.

Just wondering any P2314H user can share their experience on how to calibrate it? Can anybody share their ICC profile? Thanks

S2715H glossy surface while U2415 is anti-glare surface. beside this, size and ratio also different. is depend on you.
I vote for U2415.

Hi guys,

I have a question here and I am not sure where to post it. So here goes,

I have a Viewsonic VX2370S-LED with me which I bought in 2013. And just today it started to exhibit problem.

My question is, how long is the warranty for this model? I did a search and it seems that all viewsonic monitor gets a 3 year warranty. But I am not sure if my model qualifies for that.

I also don't know what the On-site warranty means. I'd appreciate some input.

Lastly, does anyone here knows what is the operating hours for Viewsonic Service centre?

Thanks guys.

That's right. Likewise, a 27" like the one below can get a good 60" TV also. biggrin.gif

well..don't just look at the size, the features is what makes it different. the 24" is ultrasharp, which designers would love as they tend to have better color calibration, even compared to Apple Display. plus it is fully adjustable, 16:10 monitor with more ports shenanigans behind it. if you want to compare in term of size and same features, i think u should compare u2415 with u2715 instead. For the current comparison, I would pick U2415 over s2715H icon_rolleyes.gif

I just contacted the service centre. Our monitor comes with 3 years warranty.

I have yet to get any reply when I asked them what is their definition of the on-site warranty.

Guys,I'm torn between Dell U2715H and Dell U3415W.

I do think of getting the Dell U3415W but scared hard to adopt to the 21:9.

Anyone has any experience on 21:9 that could share?

I searched around google for few hours and saw mixed postiive and negative with the 21:9. How about you guys?

I don't do games. I'm satisfied that my lowly graphics card can push 4k/60 with a single DP connection.

Anyway, had a brief scare just now as the screen had intermittent flickering problem. Initially suspected the Dell DP cable. Turned out that my power source is the suspect. sweat.gif

How small? 24" small or 32" small?

AdobeRGB accurate or sRGB accurate?

10bit panel or 8bit + FRC?

If colour accuracy is truly important, then a colour calibrator is a must regardless of the choice made from the above.

Thanks for you guys reply. I think might as well go for the 16:9 due to the pricing

Dell U3415W RM41xx
Dell U2715H RM2200
Dell U2515H RM14xx

DO you guys think the Dell U2715H extra 2" for almost RM800 worth it? The dell online chat told me that they are exactly the same except Dell U2715H is bigger by 2". any opinion on this?
