I've been monitoring their thread for weeks now.

Seems too good to be true.
But more and more people are buying it. Hmm

I haven't checked whether the warranty is usable. Frankly I'm not putting much hope on it since it's imported, but at the same time I'm not concerned about it since I've had good experience with LCD monitors generally.

I can help you guys check though.

Even a simple game like Diablo 3 strains my GTX 770 to 100% in 4K res. I have since switched back to a 1080p monitor to save on 200-300W electricity laugh.gif

Wta, is monitor a part of computer component? If yes, it should not subject to custom duty/ import tax, correct?

Asking this as I plan to carry back LG 34um95 from South Korea.
Saw from lg fb that they wont carry in lg 34um65. Hence I think um95 should not be available to us as well. sad.gif

I wonder if the Custom would be nice enough to hear your explanation, but otherwise they'll just treat this as another TV (consumer electronic). doh.gif

Any U2414H owners here who feel that the touch buttons are not sensitive enough? Or is my unit defective? I have to "push" at least 3-5 times and it's getting quite annoying dry.gif

early batch the button is responsive but the later batch button not so responsive as early batch.

why I know? cause my u2414h got red line after 3 months of using. luckily dell change new 1 instead of refurbish unit for me. rclxm9.gif

Hope it's not too late. Whatever you do, make sure they do not give you the 8528.59.000 harmonised code. That's categorising the LCD meant for TV and that would land your 25% + 10% tax.

The correct code for LCD monitor meant for computing is 8528.51.000 and that will give you 0% tax.

Good luck.

Found 2 'bright pixel' on one of my U2412m. Called up dell and after a few emails, a replacement monitor is on its way!

Amazing experience since this is my first time claiming warranty.

PS, I lost my receipt but i did emailed technical support pictures of the stickers on the original monitor box. Ahaha laugh.gif

EDIT: Just got my replacement monitor, a refurbished set. Got it replaced in less than 24 hours. Amazing after sales service from Dell!

EDIT2: After using the replacement monitor for a few hours, I found 3 bright pixels! Can't believe my eyes at first since i thought it was just dust, but after further inspection, it has 3 bright pixels! Calling dell for a replacement again tomorrow. cry.gif Ugh, can't believe this.

EDIT3: Dell technician said, it's not 'bright pixels' that I'm having right now on my replacement monitor. Instead, they are dead pixels. The are unable to replace cause it's less than 6 dead pixels. I was like wait so, you gave me a replacement monitor which is worse than my previous original one? Okay. Hmmm, can you zoom in and inspect it properly. And he said nope, they're unable to send out a replacement monitor. shocking.gif At that time, I was like omg I can't believe this. Hoping for miracle already at that moment.

And after a few email exchanges, he agreed to replace it. A replacement monitor is coming on tuesday! Big thumbs up on dell's part. thumbup.gif
