I think I get what you mean like if I using 1080 laptop screen I put some random other resolution then it looks weird..
Went to survey but couldn't find my wanted model.. Feels it quite small for 27..not sure izzit the environment make the screen feel small (Harvey / tmt / msi), 29lg ultra wide 1 of it feel like too long and height not proportionate, then saw the ultra wide lg 34 curve very tempting but cost 2k+..need reconsider...
OK got it..
Haha don't feel the diff when I press 4k in YouTube .
29" Ultrawide is actually 24" Wide longer screen. I not recommended this as 2560x1080 did not increase much of productivity screen area and it looks a bit narrow and clouded.
34" Ultrawide is 27" Wide longer screen. Recommended resolution of 3440x1440 and this increase a lot of productivity screen area and look just nice.
49" Super Ultrawide is 2 units of 27" Wide combine together side by side. Also recommended resolution of 5120x1440. This resolution is closed to 4K pixel and you need to have at least RTX 3080 or equivalent GPU for proper render the games in range of 60fps ~ 120fps only.
For 4K actually did not increase much on movies but for 3D gaming is another story and wow effect is there. For movies wise the thing shine here is HDR but HDR is another topic and for a proper HDR output display is still expensive, without RM 5k and above, don't think about it. A proper HDR output minimum requirement is HDR600 and best is HDR1000 or above with mini-LED 1000+ local dimming or OLED/QD-OLED. Those HDR400 is too basic and cannot proper handling HDR and most of the time it will appear worst than SDR.
