I dont think the price is reasonable since can get 48" at that price. Now how are they gonna price the 32" model. Very weird pricing.

Yes 32" 4K OLED is the best for rtx3080 and above
*
I will not get 48", it is less than idea ppi and too big.

I predict 32" will be around 6.5k++

https://community.acer.com/en/kb/articles/5...or-stuck-pixels

or will recover itself?

You can claim if following either condition meet:
  • 2 bright sub-pixel
  • 5 dark sub-pixel
  • combination of 5 sub-pixel (example 1 bright + 4 dark is still claimable even though your bright sub pixel is less than 2.)

any recommendation for 27" 1440p monitor? not using for gaming, just normal office usage (excel, word, ppt etc) and youtube+movies... my gpu only 6600xt...

almost bought 27" 1080p but found out not really recommended due to pixel density...
*
If not for HDR. Any well known brand within your budget IPS panel is OK.

If required HDR, then need spend a sum of money.

And what is your budget.

looks like around 1k+-... ah dell has a 4k uhd monitor for 1.4k...guess i'll go towards that...
thanks, i browsed dell website...yea saw the 2k monitor for ~1.1k...4k monitor for 1.4k....guess i might as well go for the 4k one haha
*
You mean this https://www.dell.com/en-my/shop/dell-27-4k-...tor-accessories

From rtings.com review, this is a great monitor for productivity, the only cons is you may need to adjust the colour as it out of the box no so accurate in colour.

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s2722qc

For not gaming, this is a great value great 4K monitor.

How do I check if the monitor support HDR10? For regular gamer, does HDR matters?
*
HDR10 is based, every HDR display is support HDR10 and Windows only support HDR10 basically.

HDR is another lever of visual appealing but you need to spend a lot to experience it.
  • HDR 400 - most the time it is worst than SDR.
  • HDR 600 - minimum requirement to taste HDR.
  • HDR 1000 with 1000+ local dimming Mini-LED - optimal HDR experience.
  • OLED or QD-OLED also is optimal HDR experience.

So, the big question. For a casual gamer and video watching, do we need a HDR monitor?
*
To me yes, it is another visual level. I can't tell using word, you need to experience yourself.

But don't using HDR400 display as that is giving bad experience than normal SDR.

ya perhaps i shall have a look physically.
LG 29" 29WQ600 IPS - looks cool as well but 1080.

Just a question, lets say if we get monitor with 1440p for 27inch , but if our pc got gpu only running for 1080, will it looks good? or it will equal to running 1080 monitor?
*
29" Ultrawide is 24" Wide, for 1080p look ok.

LCD only looks good on native resolution, it will be blur and pixelate if you not running at native resolution, which means if it is 1440p then it only look ok in 1440p and you should only run at 1440p.

I think I get what you mean like if I using 1080 laptop screen I put some random other resolution then it looks weird..

Went to survey but couldn't find my wanted model.. Feels it quite small for 27..not sure izzit the environment make the screen feel small (Harvey / tmt / msi), 29lg ultra wide 1 of it feel like too long and height not proportionate, then saw the ultra wide lg 34 curve very tempting but cost 2k+..need reconsider...

OK got it..
Haha don't feel the diff when I press 4k in YouTube .
*
29" Ultrawide is actually 24" Wide longer screen. I not recommended this as 2560x1080 did not increase much of productivity screen area and it looks a bit narrow and clouded.

34" Ultrawide is 27" Wide longer screen. Recommended resolution of 3440x1440 and this increase a lot of productivity screen area and look just nice.

49" Super Ultrawide is 2 units of 27" Wide combine together side by side. Also recommended resolution of 5120x1440. This resolution is closed to 4K pixel and you need to have at least RTX 3080 or equivalent GPU for proper render the games in range of 60fps ~ 120fps only.

For 4K actually did not increase much on movies but for 3D gaming is another story and wow effect is there. For movies wise the thing shine here is HDR but HDR is another topic and for a proper HDR output display is still expensive, without RM 5k and above, don't think about it. A proper HDR output minimum requirement is HDR600 and best is HDR1000 or above with mini-LED 1000+ local dimming or OLED/QD-OLED. Those HDR400 is too basic and cannot proper handling HDR and most of the time it will appear worst than SDR.

Will you recommend 34 over 32?

With ips n va price really different alot..
Survey some online 2k resolution on 34 curved cost around 1.3-1.4k
My xz342cup acer 1359
xiaomi curved 34 rm1488
MSI Optix-G32C4 rm1038 for 1080, rm1499 for 1440

Will search more model to compare... Tiring to compare from 27(went to have a look and feel need bigger one) to 34..
*
For 1440p go for 27" Wide or 34" Ultrawide.
32" Wide should go for 4K.

Why 32 need 4k instead of 2k? Something to do with the productivity ratio?
34 ultrawide with XZ342CUP Acer is it good choice with the value? Or there is other reliable brand with similar price range?
I remember my old acer monitor last me till I sell off the whole rig a decade ago.
I prioritise best spec I can get with money spent, brand as long it's not problematic.
*
Because 32" is much bigger than 27".

34" is same screen size as 27" but longer only, so the requirement of PPI won't change as it is same screen size in height.

You may check this out for best Ultrawide Monitor- https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/best...tures/ultrawide
  • Super Ultrawide - Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 (G9 Neo) - I using this. 😊
  • OLED Ultrawide - Dell Alienware AW3423DW
  • IPS Ultrawide - LG 34GP950G-B
  • Mid Range Ultrawide - Gigabyte M34WQ
  • Budget Ultrawide - AOC CU34G2X

Thanks,  aoc can't find in Malaysia n LG, but I think the price is above 2k marks.. Gigabyte I prefer curve version but it's va panel which mean similar like acer nitro xz342cup.. I don't see much comparison between VA, are they similar? Mostly comparison for ips panel
*
Yup LG is RM 4.8k and that Gigabyte is flat. AOC seems not bring in this model to Malaysia.

The Acer XZ342CUP not many review but it is RM 1.6k and in this range normally will have serious black smearing and ghosting issue for VA panel. Beware on this.

I got not much recommended on RM 2k range as normally it will have black smearing issue if the panel is VA, and great VA or IPS is over your budget.

checked lg store in shopee. sort by latest. these are not cheap. i wonder how the quality is.  hmm.gif
LG 32GQ850 (RM3150)
LG 27GN60R (RM1112) i can live with 1080p at 27".
*
Opps. Didn't notice you mentioned 1440p. 😜

But for 1440p, it is recommended for 27" only.
For this, you can check out LG 27GP850.

32" better go for 2160p even though you can live with 1080p at 27"

Hey guys, torn between these 2 models VX2718-P-MHD and VX2776-SH.

I know one of the version is gaming, and both of the panel type is different.

Mainly use it for daily browsing, work (data those), light gaming (rainbow 6), netflix..

Wanna look for type c monitor, but most of them are over 1k plus since I'm looking for 27inch. Just wanna use it as a external monitor, due to im looking a lot of data, eyes strain lol.
*
Both is 27" and 1080p which is not recommended for 27" size as everything look too big, narrow working space and not clear text due to very low 82 PPI.
For best clarity, PPI should be 100 and above.

Suggest look for 1440p for 27". 1080p should stop at 24".
