Collected the phone yesterday. Updated to B110 on first boot and installed Nova Launcher.

Somehow the phone not able sync the contact into whatsapp till I select "Show all contacts - Enable to also use hidden contacts", only by then whatsapp start to sync with the phonebook contact. This is my first android phone that requires such measurement to have the contact sync into whatsapp, never happen in other android phones that I have tried before.

Besides that, its all good thus far. Pretty much a fluid phone, 2gb ram is really handy. Do not encounter any moment yet where lack of free RAM that caused the phone to slow down.

The back cover like many mentioned is indeed very slippery, will get a matte phone cover to pair with it soon.

I actually do concern on the whatsapp issue, do you experience the same thing? If you still have the phone with you.

I only have one sim installed on the phone, and all contacts with Google Contact.
This is first time I experienced with android phone.

I have tried that numerously. It doesn't solve the issue at all.

Perhaps clear the data of the apps, and relogin, try again. It might works again or just connection issue. Have you enable "location access"?

Try "A Better Camera". There is an option for "silence operation" and I just tried where it does work for Honor 3C.

Anyone have issue stock Contact/Dialer app?

After several tests, every time I use the stock dialer and contact, the APPs seem to hang/crash....since I start trying it yesterday. There were few attempts where phonebook suddenly gone and the phone need to redownload them.

While I'm testing with Contacts+ and/or Exdialer, it seem to be no such issue. Is it just me? ehm....

After playing with the phone for more than 24 hours. Here is a short review from me.

1. The phone is really light weight, the back cover is very slippery and plan to buy back cover such as Nillkin frosted cover which increases more friction on the surface, easier to hold.

2. 720p 5" is pretty bright and sharp, cannot compare much to those of 1080p but none the less at the price bought, its a steal.

3. 2gb ram is so handy that the phone hardly run of juice that require RAM clearing etc, unlike many of the android phones that only equip with 1gb ram.

4. Haven't have the time to test the front/rear camera but looking at the photos from several members here, I truly believe it will do fairly well.

5. Had a tough time transferring info from my previous phone to this phone, mainly in the phonebook. Not sure is it just me or everyone are facing the similar issue, the stock Contacts/Dialer apps are so unstable and crashes all the time. Contacts could suddenly gone for good and it have messed up everything, a plain headache. After some experiments, I disabled the stock Contact/Dialer app and replace with ExDialer and Contacts+ (for SNS integration) and since then, I'm a happy man. Due to phonebook have been quite stable and no sudden lost in contact, whatsapp is stable too. At least I can see names instead of just numbers, from over 1000 contacts and reduce to almost none in Whatsapp phonebook.

6. Battery life seem good thus far. Will continue explore this phone, besides the phonebook issue mentioned above, I am truly impressed with the phone thus far. Even though GPS satelite locked isn't as many as Qualcomm counterparts but it is quite pleasing already. At least much better compared to those mediatek phone of MTK6577 that I tried before, always lost GPS signal.

Once I experience the phone more, I will come back with more user experience

It should be USB OTG.

I only have one google account assigned the 3C, really first time I experience such phenomenon. At least short time gap measurement found now after some trial and error, let hope the next firmware release will be much better.

Did side comparison with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600phone before. Similar satellite locking speed, just Qualcomm could lock few more satellites. Eg 7 to 10.

Its either you off "location access" on all these apps, or just simply off the GPS signal when not in use.

Its not possible. Being discussed in Honor 3C FB group and here, some of them change the lockscreen and thus you will never get the 2nd sim warning.

Is that a new area? Waze map is updated by users, might not be the latest. Data working well to download those data required?

Waze is free. Papago isn't
Waze offer real time traffic info and able to calculate the possible shortest distance path to destination. Others two you mentioned, no.

The only let down of 1s over Honor 3C is 1gb ram vs 2gb ram.
mediatek might be a bit slower than qualcomm but there is no replacement for another 1gb of ram.

Snapdragon 400 is quadcore cortex A7 CPU in the m1s, so is the MT6582.
They are pairing with different graphics chipset somehow, Qualcomm generally better when come into GPS signal, also have the support of LTE (optional) while Mediatek lacking behind in this criteria.

Really depends on what user experience you are targeting at. If m1s equip with 2gb ram (1gb ram currently) and retail below RM500, Honor 3C is DOOMed.

Downloading latest online update, hopefully a good one.

Latest patch updates ram management, YouTube audio sync issue. Battery life not too sure but since this morning 2am, some web surfing and whatsapp, glad enough

Are you talking about chinese input?
The stock keyboard does support chinese input, just download the chinese package.

Else, you could consider Google Pinyin or TouchPal (u need to download Pinyin package too)

Youtube issue fixed with b113 patch.
Ringtone issue is being raised up. Do check the fb group
