Google has begun alerting users whenever they click on a search result that may take them to a dangerous Web site. The new feature, which had been spotted earlier this week, goes live officially Friday, according to an announcement from The Stop Badware Coalition, which is collaborating with Google on this effort. When users attempt to click over to a Web site considered to be potentially dangerous, Google shows users an alert page that informs them of the possible risk and gives them the option to click back to the results page or continue on to the questionable Web site. QUOTE(boom_bread @ Aug 8 2006, 10:23 AM) is dis google dat add new feature consume more memory? lol...NOPE It's a warning site [a website] When you search for something using google, and when you click on the link, if google find its a malicious or malware sites [ie:spyware, warez sites], you'll be redirected to a warning site before you can continue

Since when was this new feature designed to prevent your innocent mind from being tainted? It's to prevent malware/adware/spyware/badware, and not undesirable content. Read the link in the first post or here and maybe your conscience can be cleared.

Maybe what we Surfers can do is to suggest that to Google and report "Unsightly" sites. Then, maybe this whole idea might become feasible.

Google is working with StopBadware.org, you can always report malicious sites/applications to them so that it will be updated in google results once it is proven malicious http://stopbadware.org/
