Guys, it looks like UPS is outsourcing their delivery to Nationwide Express!

I received a tag from Nationwide Express as I was out this morning, and when I looked for the tracking on their website, it turns out the consignment number was for the packages thru UPS from XiaoMi.

Shit, didn't even bothered to call and I now have to make my way to Shah Alam to pick up instead. doh.gif

hi all,
for those using UPS, pls track your item using this link - http://www.nationwide2u.com/track.htm

key in your UPS tracking number there and select "track by Reference Number ", then you will see your item!

Yes, apparently they didn't call, and we had no ideas it was coming. Oh well, a little surprised not all packages cleared though, I only have half of my stuff with them. unsure.gif

Btw, since the Power Bank does not come with a charger, doh.gif what charger you guys will be using to charge it?  Use the mi3 original 1.0A charger?  It will take ages to fully charged it i think.  Anyone tried already?
*
Bro, you do know that the XiaoMi Power Bank comes with pass-thru charging, right?

Just plug your phone's charger into the Power Bank, and from Power Bank into your phone, your charger will charge both the Power Bank and phone at once.

Basically, when the Power Bank is connected as "charging from external source", that port on the unit becomes a pass thru.

Only the better designed (read: expensive, if not for XiaoMi) powerbanks have this function. That is why there's no charger supplied, well, at that price, asking for a charger is day light robbery too. laugh.gif

yes, i do know that but if that's the case then i assume i can use any charger to charge it then since xiao mi mention it will support charging for Ipad Mini, etc.  Then without a charger bundled, i can only use an Ipad Mini charger to charge it.  Anyway, will try different charger (Note 3, Note 2, Ipad Air) on it tonight.  biggrin.gif

I dun mind if they priced it RM10 more but includes an original charger.  I get the Power Bank to use with my other devices, not the mi3 though coz i will give the mi3 to my sister later.
*
Well, I haven't manage to get my hands on my unit or else I could run some tests on it, to see if it regulates the input from the charger(as some other member who bought from XiaoMi china stores said it only charges at 1.2A regardless of what charger being used). Tech spec listed input current as 2.0A(TYP) though.

The output is regulated so the charging current depends on what phone is being charged, hence it could charge from normal phones up to even tablets.

Well, actually, if you're using an iDevice, you could still charge the PowerBank and device concurrently, just plug the Power Bank cable into the charger and into the PowerBank, then from PowerBank using the iDevice cable to charge your iDevice? Albeit, the default cable is REALLY short.

Technically, they are considered as "different orders" as they have a different order number a.k.a receipt number.

redmi 1s also got snapdragon right?
*
Yes, specifically the 1S model that's not yet available on retail. It's a Snapdragon 400, Moto G's gonna have some competition now.

That's the regular Redmi/Hongmi, kingdomdemon was asking about the Redmi 1s. tongue.gif

I bump into a sales thread in garage (just before the PB went on sales officially) selling silicone wrap-around for the power bank but after i bought the power bank, can't find the sales thread already.  doh.gif

Not related to the seller, but, here goes XiaoMi 10400mAh PowerBank Silicone Casing.

I noticed it earlier too. wink.gif

RM10 a piece.

Not bad but still pricey, ~1/4 of PB price already

We are being spoilt by the initial costs of the PB. I rather think of it as a RM90 unit as that's roughly what equivalent models cost.

No problem, just so happened I saw the same thing earlier on. I searched using the keywords "xiaomi+power*" then used CTRL+F to look for "silic" and voila, got it. wink.gif

looks nice, we can get different color liao with tht laugh.gif

Yeah, it looks good, though, as mentioned, RM10 a pop is a consideration. Wonder if can manage to buy in bulk for RM4 a piece outsourced from other places. I'll try my Chinese contact and see.

mi3 first time need to charge how many hours? i tried google , but no result
*
Just charge it to full. There's no need to "charge it for 8 hours" as most shops STILL say these days. Those are for very old battery technology, definitely not needed for Lithium Ion and varieties.

Well, AFAIK, most of the better Power Banks can do that, but, I'm glad I helped many who didn't realised the XiaoMi unit could do that. biggrin.gif
