Actually should ask yourself what you want from this phone ? Gaming ? Video ? 2 sim in 1 phone ? More storage ? Budget limited ?

I got redmi with 32gb, mi3 64gb. So storage for me no issue. But if the 16gb i might face issue since I like to watch movies and listen to songs and since mi3 is good for gaming I been downloading big (large space) games. So 16gb seems not enough quite soon. But if look at less demanding games morely tower defence, simple 3D even redmi with mediatek can play edi, so 1S should be enough. While huawei 3C is same with Redmi, but 1.3 X 4 so I worry it might not be fast enough. But if compare battery standby, I think 3C actually will last longer, 2.3k mah batt with 1.3ghz processor.

So all in all depends on yourself, if simple follow what other say, then it's just impulse buying. U might regret if actually paying 889 is not what you wanted, or perhaps some other issues you haven't consider. But beside the 16GB storage, all the other spec of Mi3 is better than the other 2 phone u compare.

Errr the original RedMi which sold at SG is mediatek, the one coming to MY which is 1S should b snapdragon.

If for RM 500 I definitely would prefer 1S. 8gb rom vs 4gb rom and 1.6 snappy vs 1.5 meddy.


Well another reason to give old redmi to my dad and get the 1S for myself.

I think your parcel is stuck with mine, till now no status and still stuck at sepang if check at ups and XiaoMi site. I tot can go nationwide to collect but since no status, it might be stuck sumwhere still.

Poke in slowly and hope no funny sound pop out. 1st time is abit tension, so just do it slowly and relax.

Perhaps I'm the 1 in 4000 which got unlucky and parcel got issue.

Guess enough waiting, work goes on, or life goes on. I just don't trust nationwide, so eager to get b4 it delays and left to keep at their storage or somewhere overnight.

Cross your hands maybe ur unit got special goodies they going to announce tomorrow or on 28th. Well could be something XiaoMi arrange, or perhaps just to make those eager to post their item receive just after 27th sales.

U r not the only one, mine still this status since few days ago. Think like giving up waiting, then if unlucky parcel lost or wut get back refund hopefully or get replacement unit. But good to know I am not the only person status still sepang, no update on nationwide, even tried gdexpress nothing too.
