hi guys, i long time no flash my s3 already. Been letting my gf use for a years. now I wanted to try on other rom and this is my phone state. the phone is already rooted and with custom recovery.

android version : 4.1.2

baseband version : XXEMG4
should I upgrade thou odin first to 4.2 or 4.3?

normally I use all AOKP / AOSP ROM I use banks gapps

Further to extreme95's question above, I only see "wipe cache partition" and "wipe dalvik cache" under advanced in CWM. Are these the correct functions to use before flashing the newer slimkat?

stuck at slim logo. all i did was:
1.clear cache & dalvik cache
2.flash slimkat
3.flash gapps
4.reboot
5.stuck. (help)

if i backup all my apps, are they updatable (from playstore)? and whats the best app to backup all the apps? I'm using titanium backup tho

Why cant I download CF-root from the chainfire website? I get to the download page and there isn't any links to download from?

I tried it but once i clicked on the link for cf root it brings me to the download page that has no links to download.

although the link is a .zip file nothing gets downloaded.

Can you tell me what's supposed to happen after I click the link?
