is it possible S3 upgrade to 4.4?
*
You won't get any 4.4 KK updates from samsung. Best is to flash 4.4 custom rom

i see..but how to do it?
*
You have to root the phone first, then flash custom recovery, then flash custom rom. The instructions are in the first page. Backup all important files first

any bugs to share? i mean the unstable 4.4.4 from slimkat not the stable 4.4.2
*
I think the rom is smooth, no bugs imo.

hi guys, i long time no flash my s3 already. Been letting my gf use for a years. now I wanted to try on other rom and this is my phone state. the phone is already rooted and with custom recovery.

android version : 4.1.2

baseband version : XXEMG4
should I upgrade thou odin first to 4.2 or 4.3?

Wanted to flash miui over. Can you guys guide me?
*
I'm not sure about miui rom, but these links might help you:
http://en.miui.com/download-17.html
http://en.miui.com/thread-17111-1-1.html

Edited: Since you already have custom recovery, you just need to flash the zip file through the recovery

Sure can jump from 4.1 to 4.3 without bootloop? ((
*
I'm not sure about this.
But I saw the guide is using 4.1

QUOTE(xarmx @ Jul 10 2014, 06:19 PM)
how is battery life? camera bug? any other issues?
been thinking of jumping ship from my ol  faithful slimbean 4.2.2. dunno which one to choose.
*
Imo the battery life is pretty much the same as the slimkat 4.4.2. It depends on your usage. Mine SOT can only reach 2hours++ (battery already worn a bit)
There is no issues so far with the camera and everything else

btw you all use slimkat weekly or stable build ?
*
I'm currently using the weekly build
For my usage, I think there's no difference between stable and weekly builds
Is better for you to try the stable buld first

I'm not sure what is the difference between mini, full and normal cos last time they only have slim and AIO version. I think they haven't update this page: http://www.slimroms.net/index.php/new-addons-menu

Further to extreme95's question above, I only see "wipe cache partition" and "wipe dalvik cache" under advanced in CWM. Are these the correct functions to use before flashing the newer slimkat?
*
Yup, that's correct
