The LED has very good quality, the strip is cover by transparent rubber cabling. So it is safe to bend. You can take a look on the picture in below links

The length can only be selling in meter. No 3.5 meter, coz the led is 1 meter per strip.
I afraid if i take the whole length route for my detolf would be too bright, so i only take to route diagonally and it seems not bad. Detolf is well design to easily route the led strip using cable tie
