There wouldn't be any difference had I chose RSAL, in fact I probably would've gotten the parcel quicker what with RSAL apparently raising less attention from customs.

Sigh.

Well, the Tougetsu Matsuri I ordered which was slightly above RM500 and delivered using RSAL went through without any problems.

And off-topic, but in my line of study I'd have to order stuff from European countries which cost well above RM500, some even close to RM10,000. Of course several was inspected by customs, but there's quite a few which passed through without any delay.

I can't really say it's an absolute thing. It really depends on the officer at work.
