I collect basketball Shoes...Can I join? Have about 9 of them all Nikes but only 7 in Good condition. 6 of them are AIR JORDANS(2 in Mint condition).....

Hi, A fellow AJ admirer. Yeah AJ 17 is nice. The packaging even better. Comes in a metal suitcase. The thing is Mine is AJ 17+. Each shoe comes in a cloth bag. Bought it and never worn it as it was not available here in Msia. Had to get it in Singapore.

Nike Ultraposite TRAINER? Hmmm....actually looking for something cheaper and more casual.....I only spend a big sum on AJs......

Actually I prefer the Nike ACG series shoes plus I don't know how I suddenly developed a loyalty towards that brand ever since I got my fisr Nike Basketball shoe.
For walking I normally go for the Aquasock series or any other ACG Sandal/shoe. I normally dun spend more than RM200 on the walking ones and I wear them till their really worn out.

You have ligament damage while playing basketball? Man that sucks. I twisted my Ankle really bad 3 weeks back and only managed to get up and walking with the least bit of dignity come CNY. I think I'll be laying off sports for another few weeks and thats bad news as the CNY food are starting to pile up the pounds....

Oh ya...I got the AJ 17+ for SGD190 which is the cheapest I've paid for a Nike AJ. I treasure it the most......

Oh ya..post some pics of the shoes you letting go lar....So many names hard to remember...

I see, thats sad to hear....I try to avoid that by periodically applying SCOTHGARD leather protector and moituriser. Helps protect from stains, cracks.and water...

Hi...Thanks for the complement but I think you should know that its a real strain on my wallet. Anyway the AJ XX is not the most expensive ler...Actually got it during the Msia Sale for near RM500 which is a cut from the RM659 price.....
In the pic, the Brown AJ is the most expensive in the lot at RM650...The rest I scouted around to try and get it cheaper....Now going slow as $$ is spent on other things now....the ironic thing is that i've spent so much but too sayang to use them. Still looking for AJ 14 Retro but my common sense it telling me not to waste the $$.....

Shoes used to be so cheap last time when I started. The exchange rate was only 2.5 to the US$. AJs were selling new at RM470 then...now the most expensive AJ New release is RM750....ish...


Nope not KIWI Polish. That is for the formal shoes right? I got the SCOTHGARD Brand which is a spray which is made out of Mink oil and is 10X move water resistent than whale oil or something like that....If i remember it was RM40 per tin...Very good as you can use it on all things leather like your belts/wallets/other shoes..but don't waste it on sofa sets

Yeah I made a trip to Nike Megamall on Sat and saw it going for that price too. But not the colour im looking for which is white....That one is the black one which is very nice but not my taste.....

I haven't worn my AJXX ler....jUst tested it out in my room to get the feel and its left in the box till now. I would say that its ok in terms of cushioning, but the leg strap takes getting used to.

Oh ic...NO white ar? Then maybe I have to make a trip to SG...I've earmarked that as my last AJ Shoe this year cos I missed it when it originally came out. Damn stupid then and went to by a Foamposite instead

As for the AJXX its for collection cos its the 20th anniversary of the AJ series. I dun buy all the shoes. Can't afford to spend that much and I won't be a good example to my younger sis I skipped AJXIII cos I got Air Foamposite Penny that year. Then XV was ugly and XIX was sold out but never really liked that. I just got a glimpse or AJXXI and I think its horrid. I think AJXIV is a better cheaper buy anyday....

You seem to keep in touch with AJ shoes as well. Which is your fav?

Yeah I just regretted not taking better care of my Foamposite 1.

AJ18.5 is attractive too. I find the AJXVIII and AJ18.5 to have the best traction of all in the line. But whenever I walk around the double stack Zoom though comfy, makes squeking noises and is really akward.

AJ Carmelo 1.5 white/blue not available di? Maybe you should go to the smaller shops and not the ones in the big malls....They are so many Al-Ikhsans around....go check them out ler....You might find a pair.... Lebron 3 is a sweet kickz...but I aint a fan of them wannabe AJ's....

Like you said, AJXX has Jordan's feats on the lace-cover and the 20 shoes on the soles. So its more of a collectors item than a wearable shoe....

As for 17+. It was either get it from US, or not get it at all. Then I found 1 pair in Singapore going for that price. Couldn't resist. At that time was looking for AJXI Retro.

Where do you get your AJs and what do you have now? Im looking for AJXIV Retro White, but NIKE KL Only has the Blk coloured ones. I don't want to miss on this "Last Shot" so its called....

Ic....You're lucky youre there. You can get stuff cheaper everywhere but in Malaysia. Here things are blown up. I wanted to get the AJXX in the blk/white colourway like yours but they dun sell it here. So I got the Red/White version instead. Its kinda cool cos they had the Orange/White and Blue/white here as well...

RM1000 is absurd amount to pay. What shoe was it again? Foamposite 1 or something?

Anyway I See you have 2 AJXVIIs. I myself got 2 AJXVIs. To me that was one of my fav shoes for ballin. It was light which was the main reason and I never sprained my ankle with it playin hard. Unlike my XVIIIs which I twisted a month back.

Anyway 70-100 pounds is ok. Its the bloody exchange rate here that kills. Yeah the kicks are around the same here priced between RM549 For 'Last Shot' AJXIV and RM659 for AJXX when it came out.

I dun think I would be collecting any AJs below AJXII which I have. It would be really hard to get hold of them so I have to concentrate on getting retros like the last shots and onwards. I already Missed XIIIs which were here late last year...I spend too much on my Tarantula Hobby that I forgot about shoes....ish....

Conclusion: Its an addiction.

P:S AJXXI coming out there? I wonder when its gonna come here. I heard they have 2 cushion systems or something like that. You have any idea?

I have 13 of them of which I never wear 2 so not as bad. Some don't wear most of their shoes. I only don't wear the hard to get ones.....

I think I will search for those above 12 ler. 11 is imposible to get and is expensive. I don't know why but the pre-AJXI don't appeal to me. EBAY huh...Maybe its easier to use it there in UK. You studyin there? I will try to get hold of the white AJXIV first....

Well it depends if collecting shoes is a hobby or not. If it isnt' then people normally keep 1-2 pairs of shoes.

Im quite sure he doesn';t wear some of them.....His AJXX still looks clean and his LeBrons too....



All of mine have been worn before except for the AJXX and AJXVII. As you can see from the pic the AJXII is in the worst condition but I still kept it for old times sake. The Blk /Blue shoe at the back is Kevin Garnett's Foamposite. I cool shoe missing from this pic is Air ZooM GAry Payton (Wiht rollerblade lock) which I felt was the easiet shoe to wear for Bball. After that I would rate AJXVI as 2nd best that I've worn. I liked it so much that I both 2 of it just to keep one as a collection.
