when stop in front of traffic light, put in "P" may damage your whole gearbox easier than putting in "N"

reason is there is an armature extended click into the gear when you put in "P", if there is a follower hit your car behind when you are at "P", gearbox will be damaged more serious and lead to expensive repairing.

is that true?

in some car
whn u pull handbreak it will auto go to "P"

yes i think true. thats why they give you option to put 'n'

unless it has mechanism to avoid the damage to gearbox if got hit from behind

logically quite true.

P for parking

modern auto GB at D while stopping is almost like free gear. most modern GB comes with slip detection.

u know why? coz those ppl usually la uncle..aunty...teach all their children to put in P when not moving even on traffic light coz it save fuel....

i was like..seriously? even if on P your car engine is still running save wat....and constant shifting like that kill gear easily...they all juz brush me off saying i was wrong...lol
