QUOTE(ralph_d @ Jul 30 2014, 04:54 PM) i see aside from the expose wrist part and hands, there are some parts in the shoulder, knee, elbow that you attach to the B plate. Those are visible and can be safely painted.i only can see the hand was painted, the rest not that clear building this kit too, thanks for the tip, might do the same thing on my SF the unpainted 'gold' is just... I originally plan to paint mine as well, but after straight building, it really does not look that bad as seen in the picture. |

if that is acrylic based coat, you can try using rubbing alcohol and cotton/cloth to rub it off.
(or create a snow diorama lol) it is caused by high humidity in the area where and when you top coated the kit so gaiachronicler advise is good. you matte topcoat during sunny weather. |

QUOTE(sixtydee123 @ Sep 8 2014, 11:36 PM) I'm looking for a very light greyish white paint for the white on my raiser. can I achieve that with the tamiya insignia white AS20 spray can?? Planning to spray the blue with metallic blue Ts19 you can check most of the colors here as sprayed in a white spoon. if you got white and planning to do a subtle off-white shades to other parts, I think AS20 will do.http://otakurevolution.com/content/laymans...aint-references |

QUOTE(sixtydee123 @ Sep 9 2014, 12:47 AM) Yea I saw this site. But I'm not sure if it'll be any different from the unpainted white. I'm going for a clean build by spray can only. For the blues, metallic blue TS19. Any recommendations on what I should spray the white with? My initial plan was to spray it with metallic blue, and grayish white for the white parts but I can't seem to find a slight grayish white spray can colour. I also plan to top it over with a gloss coat. Will flat coating look good on metallic? if it is unpainted white then most likely, you will get the same color as that white spoon. since you are still painting over a white plastic.as for flat on metallic, it actually depends on your preference so just test it on a random spoon/plastic first. |

it all depends on how well engineered the inner frame will be, if it is not, then we will have another SF or 00 Raiser that cant stand without support.

imo, RG SF is good RG but since it is a CE/Seed RG, it must have a huge backpack so comparing it to units like Granddad, zaku or Exia, it will really feel/look inferior since they are units without backpack and are more balanced (can do dynamic land pose)

QUOTE(Nawar @ Oct 30 2014, 10:02 PM) There is really no time required to let it sink in the soapy water. What I usually do is. 1. Get lukewarm water and mix it with Dishwashing soap (Both combination ensures that you will remove all oil/mold release and other impurities in the plastic 2. Throw in the plastic in that water mixture. 3. Brush it with an old toothbrush 4. After brushing all plastic (just one pass is enough), then wash it with clean water. Final pass is usually with running water 5. Let it dry (it is better to let it dry in dust free environment or cover it with something. Before painting, use lint free cloth and give a quick pass and check if there are no dust in your plastic. |

i would willingly recommend option 3 as well since one, it is easier and two, the bandai replacement service is only available in Japan.
