just started the gunpla hobby last month. First of gonna show my very first gunpla i picked up. Its a (MG) Aegis Gundam. Decided to paint it with Metallic Blue, Metallic Red, Pearl White and Matt Black. Still work in progress as im now outstation so only can fisnish up next month with the detailing and decided to change blue to matt black as well. i did encounter some problems and need some advice since im a noob and need some help from pros here. Since i use spray cans i found out its kinda expensive with the tamiya product as total spent on spray cans to get this was RM 300 or so. Well im from Miri, Sarawak and its hard to get alternative products and the there's not much colors to choose from unlike in West Malaysia especially cant find primers or base coat which really sucks. cant seem to find a shop in West Malaysia willing to send me some since the freight company doesnt allow to send by air as its dangerous goods. I found in youtube saying that air brushes are expensive at first but later on the paints will be cheaper so probably could save some $$ only if you take good care of the equipments and its more precise so you don't waste much paint. Anyone here have experience with air brushes? Please advice. Sorry about the rough work since its my very first time doing plastic models hehe. any tips on how to make it look better is very appreciated. Thanks.
