Have a problem with my camera, the upper part of the picture when taken have some black smudge blocking the picture after snap. When you look through the lense, nothing there. Especially if you use flash, the picture goes to total darkness like something blocking the lenses. Anyone know how to solve this? And how much does it cost?

Sounds like your shutter is dying. Better send to service centre to check.

If it is the shutter that needs replacing, they usually charge RM300-500 I think. If it is the mirror not flipping up fast enough, then I dunno

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that area. Perhaps it is better you try contact the Nikon service centre directly.

Send to Nikon centre and let them check for you , get their advice and quotation. Currently you have no idea what is the root cause, dont just look at the price , find the fault first and price of repair can decide later.

Does the checking gonna cost me or they do it for free?

It will cost RM25 just to check but if you agreed to repair it by them, they will wave off the inspection charges
