how is the power on off button sensitivity? (i think original too sensitive )

must be my bad luck. bought 2 units, both also quite sensitive touch on that button

whenever in/out from pocket, i will touch on the power button & screen turn on

another thing, any oem back cover with good grid/anti slippery (besides the nilkin case) on redmi 1s? i think my 1s will fall by this slippery back cover, just duno when

xiaomi orig silicon cover wouldn't help much on the power button (i bought black & white)

this, after boot up 5~7 mins:-


haven't deduct ram usage running on memory cleaner, use press & hold menu button clean, free ram easily hit 420MB. (after boot up wait 8-10 mins )


what i remove on ver 29,

1 - Weather*.* (fancy look but useless for me, yet eat up juices)

2 - NetworkAssistant2*.* (data usage, keeping on ram usage. need disable b4 removed),

3 - KingSoftCleaner.apk (I don't need this running background. it won't remove on press & hold menu cleaner)

4 - YellowPage*.* (only useful on china & taiwan)

5 - browser, email & exchange

6 - GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk ( I don't need sync all gmail address to local phone contact), G drive/book/music/video/news/map/streetview

7 - disable :- call block, apps permission monitor

lowest ram usage about 140MB, which don't really need clean manually



white rice seem much decent matching with the red buttons

I del CloudService* , update* and XiaomiServiceFramework* , # cn_chinamobile:/system/app/VoiceAssist.apk inside /system/etc/ignore_app_list , once messaging open, the link will be there

the 31, MIUI & music app established links to china too. the new music mayb ok, optional purchase song from them but the MIUI app...


31 ram management obviously seem better internal control than 29, same goes to the battery life. Battery saving mode left only built in profile, which is good as 29 3 profiles totally mess up the tuning, e.g:- performance could perform slower than balance mode, yet battery saving perform the highest score at antutu

31 FM radio auto off after unplugged ear phone jack

31 stable global from xiaomi.eu build date (build.prop) newer than 31 CN ver, and its really "global" with plenty of lang

31 Performance & sleep profile, default = conserve battery



user mode, only P or B



those who facing busybox problem, you need change the location or/and to "standard" version. (miui want advertise their products everywhere, even busybox-MiUi )

after 1st attempt update, the 31 does kept exiting user data & apps from 29.

I wanna try out the pure & clean 31, I boot to recovery clean up everything (then only restore contact/messaging/reinstall apps i use. (maybe me only doing this way?! )

happened to my v31 when using lenovo super camera. stocks cam so far ok. mostly software problem.

battery graph show normal as screen awake, screen seem heavy/continuously app using.



stay at v27 if possible, v29 kernel seem weird on batt issue.

v29 cpu min fav = 998 instead of 300/384, scheduler task won't work. google backup transport(not activated) eating up ram, logcat seem malfunction.

avast firewall i din't test on v29, works fine on v31 kernel. (for camera/messaging/miui home )

yes for sure, snapdragon always provide better os update option than mtk & other, at the moment.

what app u installed? try F-Secure App Permissions find n remove battery drain app. (like google now)
