Reading some of the comments here it's like buying a Proton and expecting it to perform like a BMW.

I'm considering to buy Redmi 1S due to the cheap price, but I have some doubts because of the low price.

Yes, I have no doubts the phone performed well during those hands-on reviews in the video. But then those reviews used a phone which had less apps.

So here are my questions:

1) Does Redmi 1S lags after installing many apps?
2) How much memory do we have for installing apps? I'm sure we can't use all 8GB JUST for apps.
3) Can apps and files be moved to the external SD card easily?
4) Does Redmi 1S hang easily like those Samsung phones in this price range?
5) Does Redmi 1S have the insufficient storage problem when updating apps like samsung phones?

I just don't want to feel cheated after buying this phone if it lags like hell. I'm a person who installs many apps and gaming performance does NOT matter for me.

Yes, i can't expect zero lags. Minor lags are okay as long as the phone doesn't hang. My main problem with my current phone ( Galaxy S2) is that it has !@#$%*(!! insufficient storage when I'm updating my apps. I think it's because i have many apps.

So would you say you have a good experience with Redmi 1S so far?
