QUOTE(countdracula @ Jul 19 2014, 12:15 AM) My SOT for today. With call, whatsapp, wechat, email & chrome use sparingly. The screen consuming too much power. Wow thanks. 4 hours isn't bad. I'm getting like 1.5h SOT on my current phone or 2h max if I put brightness on minimum and only activate data when I need it or use only wifi. My usage is pretty much like yours with Chrome taking the majority of it since I surf a lot if I'm bored and don't have my tablet with me.

QUOTE(DannyOP @ Jul 19 2014, 12:15 AM) I'm getting 3+hr sot around 1 hour less than Oneplus One with 3100 ma battery. QUOTE(coklatua @ Jul 19 2014, 12:39 AM) My battery usage. Brightness set to auto. Im on MY 27 ROM btw. Thanks. Seems like ~4H SOT is about the average or rather the maximum. That's not too shabby.

QUOTE(countdracula @ Jul 19 2014, 02:24 AM) actually at this price point hardware wise is really cant complaint much but i do hope that xiaomi would release update soon to rectify/improve software glitches. after two days of usage the MIUI seems like a beta release especially the "lite mode" and ram management/multitasking. Eh, the software is the same as the Mi3 right?

Just to confirm, the Redmi 1S is exactly the same size and design as the Hongmi 1S right? As far as I can tell they're the same thing but with a different processor inside. I'm shopping for accessories and some of these listings are ambiguous as hell.

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Jul 28 2014, 04:04 PM) yeh , it's MIUI issue , seem like no one willing to fix the system camera at all. Wonder any Mi3 user can test it whether the camera app can be install on 1s. Others than 3rd party camera , nothing else can do without root. The Mi3's camera optimization is even worse and it's been that way since forever. Xiaomi doesn't give a f*** about fixing the bugs. They just keep slapping on additional features. I'm not sure if they even know how to fix the issues since they are a low cost company after all so that might extend to their software developers as well

QUOTE(mirage81 @ Jul 29 2014, 12:18 AM) hi there guys... im looking for a budget dual sim phone.. in comparing Asus Zenfone 4 and Redmi 1s.. which is much more better? thanks... The new Zenfone 4 with the 1750mAh battery and 8MP camera is arguably better. It's a lot less bloated for one thing. You won't face any problems with RAM management or running games like Clash of Clans.

QUOTE(netmatrix @ Aug 9 2014, 11:29 AM) I'm pondering to get a Redmi 1S or Lumia 525. 1S trumps lumia 525 on everthing. And i'm going to get either from DirectD. So is there any problems with 1S that i should be aware of if i decide to buy it? The reviews from youtube and even some sites makes the 1S a good buy. The reason why i wanted to buy the nokia is basically the robust nature of the phones. I'm using a C3 for nearly 3 years now and its starting to age badly from falls and stuff. I wonder how robust the S1 is compared to 525? I could be buying either these few days. Need the users here to guide what to expect of this phone. How about the GPS feature? Android has a lot more apps so...if that matters to you then you might not want to go down the Windows Phone route. But if you don't mind the lack of it then the Lumia 530 is coming out soon (or has been released already, not sure lol). Plus the Redmi 1S has superior hardware (camera and all) compared to the low-end Lumias and you can easily find accessories for it which are pretty close to non-existent for a non-top-end Lumia.
