that day sure 1S sold out within 1 minute or 2 for just 5000 units, juz like the powerbank before. (scalper army already marching now)

1st sale one sure earn gao gao: i might also interested become 1 time scalper, hahaha! laugh.gif sell at ap price RM499 sure sell!

seems xiaomi really doing rotation sale scheme now

1st week for phones
2nd week for power banks
3rd week phones
4th week power banks

after the heat down, then all gadgets every week.

AP set using qualcomm as well
*
then better don't b scalper, no point , hahahha tongue.gif

but still, who knows, scalper can make $$ from the title 'original set', warranty by xiaomi local office

or the original set appears to be better than ap set in terms of less problem make / problem fixed

I'm in delema now. Successful secured 1 unit redmi 1s. But don't know if I will buy it or not after read about this phone problems like ram management and the sms whatsapp problem. Or should I wait for Motorola moto e instead since it is near to pure Android and I think it does not have the redmi 1s problem?
*
moto e quoted by cnet recently as top 3 or top 10 (can't remember exactly) highest radiation phone in market - at around 1.5watt/kgs shocking.gif

That's always the question from other people to me too. lol

Honor 3C has been on sales for 2 months and it's still selling like a hotcake.. wonder wonder.. Xiaomi is relatively new tho. 1 mth plus..  biggrin.gif
*
huawei is already a international reputable company, local ppl more confident to this kind large company than xiaomi though.

seeing their operation style, huawei bring stock here first then sell, ship out next day, fast and efficient. and having local retail channel.

xiaomi don even have a base to keep phone stock (not even plan to?), all send by international courier only and take around 1 week time, let alone strengthen their international product image through local retail kiosk / IT fair.

that makes grey importer can compete at this weak point.

another matter is 'xiaomi' is a too china name, when they wanna appear in overseas market, only find out this name seems under ppl perception not at par with other maker name.

I bought the extra battery and external charger.  thumbup.gif  I mean seriously it's stupid to have an extra battery (ala Zenfone 4) but to not get or provide an external charger. You're essentially doubling your recharge time because you have to charge it manually inside the phone for BOTH batteries if you ever swap them out  doh.gif
*
it is nice they provide external charger

ya, i wonder how the zenfone4 users feel with the extra battery with no independent charger

Seems so much easier to get the 1s now. Just secured 1 unit just now. Power banks bought last week, still awaiting deliveries. sad.gif
*
i saw the line in checkout page:

it may take 12 days to ship out if buying accessories only rclxub.gif

so i empty the cart with 2 x 5k, as the 10k already finished while wanna payment. originally was 2 x 5k + 1 x 10k put in cart, avoiding courier fees. so i think the reported revamp operation that item is secured during checkout is no true...

An app released by Xiaomi to check if your mi smartphone is real or fake

ha, never looking down those china clone phone.

that's y buying ap phone is always got a risk, wanna buy ap buy at reputable phone shop only, not at individual kiosk

1 extra matter, lately china local dailies published that phone being sold not through china local official channel got a large proportion infected android system. So if malaysia ap seller import those 'unofficial sourcing channel' china set (because lower cost maybe), buyer will get infected android phone without knowledge. Infected not means virus, but those secretly send out privacy info, contact info, send out sms costing money, internet roaming charge etc... last time china phone is well known of this. Change your phone os totally to another firmware maybe a good way to eradicate that.

Anyways, considering to buy the redmi battery charger. Is it worth the money?

if got second battery, should have a battery charger with you. else no point keep swapping battery to charge in phone, so hassle.

I think the whole point of a discussion thread is to talk about the pros and cons of the product without getting overly defensive when someone points out some issues.

I have bought mi3, 1s and H3c. Will most likely buy mipad when it comes out (and maybe Redmi Note since someone pointed out to me that it has multi-language options). Already bought iPad & ipod touch btw. I would say all the models have pros & cons.

I think its fair to compare products within a similar price bracket, with +/- RM100 being a reasonable range. Someone may say, oh why not top up 1,500 for an iphone, I think that's just the fool talking without sense.

Within the 419-519 price range, there is 1s, Redmi Note & H3c.
Within 499 - 599 price range, there is H3c, Redmi Note & maybe one of the Asus Zenfones. What else is there?

For me, 1s with Snapdragon sounds good technically. In real-life performance it falls short of the H3c, especially in terms of features...so many to name... but this is a 1s thread so I shall not mention them here.

The real question is, are the additional features worth the extra RM80 for another phone? That is a question only YOU can answer.

However, if some day the 1s come with 2GB ram and multi-language options, I would not hesitate to get a few more units.

Peace!  smile.gif

i wait h3c fall low to rm399 then buy it, hahaha

some more, revised zenfone 4 with 4.5" is joining the combat with its price tag around rm360, cheaper than 1s.

wanna ask.. if buy from seller.. without receipt.. so how to claim warranty? the seller say just send it to service centre through postage.. anyone know?
*
powerbank?

there is a packing list come with the pb box.

the packing list provide Order No., Order Date. and Part Number. Part umber refers to what product category, not product serial number.

also check the pb itself, no serial number as well.

but the white packing box containing pb got a side label there indicating the serial codes, color, and model code. I think this box could be the proof of purchase of legitimate malaysia set (if totally no serial codes insides pb aluminium casing), so do not throw away this white box.

it will also depends on xiaomi warranty terms, if they specify that warranty strictly for 1st hand customer only, then u need ask the seller to send it back.

Guys, Does Xiaomi have any shops around KL/Selangor that sell their phones?
*
official set through website only

brick and mortar phone shop sell ap set mostly

also, there can be official set by phone kiosk, the bizman hunt official stocks through website during flash sale, then sell at premium price.
