First impressions.
Fast rom.

I uninstall the all the baidu app and install swiftkey, and KK launcher.
So far so good.

But need more time to install other app and game for test.
For COC, the swiftkey shows up very fast.

In term of spec, yes it is better.
Same price RM419 on Lazada.

Which recovery u use?
I use CWM but I think there is a problem with it.
It do not full wipe the internal.
I only got 1gb++ free space in internal memory.

Hmm, flashing again using TWRP.

My advice is you should get the phone from xioami website or lazada.
It is only RM419 and it should be easy to get it, no need to rush2 like the xiaomi powerbank.
It is covered by xioami warranty that you can send the phone to xioami center if the phone have problem.

Wow,

I use KK launcher.
So far pretty good.
Most noticeably is the ram management.
The ram management is very good.
Playing games no lag and most importantly no force close when playing games.
I can say goodbye to Ram Expander already.
But it also have a few bugs.
-you can no longer pull the notification bar when playing games.
-camera is quite disappointed.
-when someone calling, there is no name and picture display, just the number shows up.
-notification LED only blue color on whatsapp, etc and do not blink.
-Cannot customize notification panel/toggle.
-Can install waze but cannot use it. It will shows error about SD card and it will auto shutoff.
-No significant change in term of battery performance and heating issues.

But for a Beta rom, Im very impressed with the perfomance.
No such problem on KK launcher.

Battery performance is not that bad actually.
It is not worse but definitely not the best also.
You can refer to my older post in this thread as I post about the everyday battery life perfomance.
Heat problem arise is when u gaming on it. On idle, you also can sense it.

Dont know about how much the battery consume when I sleep becoz I always charge it before I sleep.
And I always sleep late.
But I think it cannot match the s930 battery perfomance.
Need to do some test first. I think it will consume 5-8% or worst?

The heat comes from the processor, not the battery.
It is because of the overclocked processor.

Yeah, there is app for that but didnt try it yet.
I can live with the heat because my previous phone is hotter.

Yeah, the performance of the processor is quite noticeable especially when on homescreen.
You can noticed some lag on the homescreen.
But in games no noticeable lag.
But the display is way better than Redmi1S.
Comparable to M8 and I think better than Mi3 display also
The brightness is very bright although you set it on low.

The laggy homescreen: Note.
The brilliant display: also note.

It is always like that.
Snapdragon>Mediatek.

You can noticed it especially when swiping the homescreen and when opening/closing folder in the homescreen.

Yeah, Redmi Note dont have heat issues.
Quite a good phone actually.

I think they use mediatek is bcoz to cut the budget.
Thats why Redmi1S 4G is cheaper than the current model.

So, the price for this tuesday is still 419 or the new price?
Planning to buy 1 unit for my friends.
