Who are the official retailers of Redmi 1S in Malaysia?
Is there a difference bwtn the 'Malaysian spec' and the 1Gadget AP and the Directd "high specs version" other than the warranty? Are the AP (imported) sets firmware Chinese only?

Who is in charge of the warranty by Lazada? Xiaomi themselves?
Is there any difference btwn the Lazada product and 1Gadget/Directd (both selling the 1S)? Is the firmware the same?

I haven't even inserted Sim card inside yet.    But the phone already is very impressive. The smoothness feels so much like the Lumia 525 that i wanted to buy. This phone is bigger and cheaper though. I'm thinking of ways to make it a little more dust and water resistant. This phone is heavy. Seems to be a little heavier than my dinosaur Nokia C3. But its probably the glass. Haven't install the screen protector. Phone is still charging at 86% and i'm running a LiteFM at low volume to run in the speakers. Yes its a stupid unnecessary thing to do. 

There are some little annoying things though. The additional charger did not come with an additional USB cable. So i could not charge both battery on phone and the spare one at the same time. The Mi software for PC is only in chinese. And i could not locate an english version of the software.

But the screen protector is 2 pieces in a box. So somewhat unexpected as i thought i only paid for 1 piece in a box. No they did not put 2 box inside. Its 1 box with 2 pieces inside. The label says so too.

My nephew says the phone feels and looks like Sony Experia which he likes very much.

Had to disable the MIUI interface. Uses too much memory. Now using Aviate. Much faster.

First startup with no charging. Can use over 6 hours semi-constant playing games or even calling people.

Now charging up after shopping. Very nice impression!

Should make "User List", so that we can see all the users including me.

You say that as if xiaomi and redmi1s are not related at all. Is it not Xiaomi's fault for still using 4.2 while other models using 4.3

finally received my xiaomi after self pick up at fedex 

here is my first review:
screen is bigger colour quite good compare to my old motorola phone
responsiveness is good, no lag  
when i using the phone, the top is very hot    is the heat from CPU or wifi?
the return button is on the right instead of right, always press wrongly 
battery drain very fast 
the 1GB memory not enough, always >75% used one, i think the MIUI use a lot of memory 

i'm still new to it and haven;t ready try all the things yet...
my MIUI now is rev27, is it worth to update to rev36 which appear my phone update? other than fix the data breach issue to china server and better battery saving, got other benefits? scare it used up more memory

what the used of SD card?? i can't save my photo and video to there   any way to transfer the photo and video manually to SD card?

how come all the apps i installed will be in my wallpaper? can't i delete it and choose from app list like in other adroid phone? so messy 

how to use google now in redmi? my previous android phone just swipe from bottom to top then it will show up liao, but i can;t find a way to do it in redmi

that beats the entire purpose of getting a Mi phone, but i must agree the MIUI offers very restrictive profile. I'm using nova on my note. can adjust the icon sizes. 1s still use MIIU.

any way to disable a specific features of miui theme pack. My current theme pack shows weather status on lock screen, but the animation (like raining, sunny, thunder) causes the unlocking become slow and lagging.

Downloading now...i prefer china rom. less heavy without those gapps/google bloatware installed....
