Not unless the items for sale are separate and distinct from each other, which is clearly not the case here. One of the F&F mods will look at it and take appropriate action.

We may be implementing a new rule whereby each user many only have 3 active threads at any one time, or may only bump 3 threads per day to ensure fairness.

The problem is figuring out a fair method, which stops abusive topic creation while not affecting legitimate sales. Any suggestions?

implement "sub-thread" for forumers ?
similiar with current sub-forum, the different is the sub-thread not pinned...
bump one sub-thread = bump plenty of threads at the same time

You mean something like there's another link to a thread in his thread?

sorry to make u misunderstand... i use the "sub-thread" words in the wrong way...

use the post#1 as example, all the stuffs he selling are car entertainment compenents...
perhaps he can open his own thread's topic as "My Cheap ICE garage sales", inside his thread will have different sub-thread and will list down the all the car audio components tat he selling... it will look neater and easier to look for the components, it is better than squeeze all the various information abt various components into a page, feel messy...

example like "Software" forum, it have sub-threads like "Latest Updates", "Internet Related", "Multimedia" and "Security & Privacy"...
Software = My Cheap ICE garage sales
Latest Updates, etc = the sales threads for the his audio products

i think the bulk order have the similiar case, such as a forumers open more than similiar threads, some of products is same type... perhaps can categories into few threads, group by the product type... jz my 2cent...

Pinned is used for threads, we don't uh 'pin' sub-forums.
But anyway I get your drift, but like me0wster say, no say thing, yet. =)
Depends on the admin if they want to get this implemented.

look like i really misuse and misunderstand "sub-forum" and "thread" words... tongue.gif

i just want to forward my idea for LYN, not tat necessary have to implement, not similiar problems happening now... i know that it is hard to do the coding if the forum starting get more complex than before... smile.gif

And another thing i want to add, what you suggested is basically giving sellers a shop of thier own here. If you noticed, they did close the 'members stores'.

I suggest that their threads be consolitated into one.. e.g. [BULK] ABC's store

BULK section now being overwhelmed with same seller having 10 - 20 thread.

For your consideration notworthy.gif

The bulk section is not meant for that purpose actually
It's not for sellers with a lot of items to sell
Check the rules for the Bulks
