+1800 is for?

The sound system for new city is alright for stock car but i think i am overly particular with music/noise.

1800 for floor insulation front and back

Don't think i want to do floor. 4 doors help a lot already. If you turn on music loud, noise will bounce inside your door and create resonance. Soundproofing around this area will help with the sound and add extra kick to the bass.

This weekend project - Tint. If got enough time want to visit EA for some poison. Sunday maybe go survey new rim. I want to change to PS3 tyre but there isn't any size for our ori rim.
*
still in the midst of whether wanna install sound proofing. but only for 2 doors at the moment due to budget constraints. do let me know if u have done yours smile.gif

This CVT ok or not? Scared that it'll become like the old City/Jazz CVT gearbox prob. hmm.gif
*
the car is still new. maybe wait for us to drive for another 3 years and we can comment on the reliability. but for sure, this gen's CVT is more responsive than last gen's 5 speed AT. i am still wondering why people said it is underpowered, maybe they couldn't feel the changing of gears.

oh also the "S" gear. drool.gif drool.gif

Why the suspension for the new city so hard man!!!
*
i personally like the stiff suspension of the city. gives me more confidence in handling and cornering. maybe it takes some getting use to time for you.

Mostly they cant feel the pulling power after gearchange hence lack of power. The cvt really a smooth operator.

Havent tested the S gear mode and i duno it was there when i test drove it... doh.gif

Is it more responsive when pull to S gear?
*
S is like "Speed" mode. some1 mentioned before when you switch to S gear, the gear ratio is reduced from 7 to 5. hence the gear only changes when the RPM goes higher. it gives more power especially overtaking cars. you can try it yourself on a straight road and see how the car reacts.

btw, my SA oso say if we do the window tint outside, it will void the warranty for anything related to window. Is it true??
*
of coz trunk tray and smart tag. both of them add up goes up to Rm300

Guys need your feedback. Best is based on experience.

1. For those who chose black colour, can you share reasons you do so?
2. Those who avoiding black colour, any particular reason you would not go for black?

Thanks.
*
Black absorb heat the fastest. So you will feel that the vehicle is hotter than other light colours

When your car is black in color, a tiny scratch mark will be very visible and an eyesore.

Swirl marks from bad or rough car wash will be projected very clearly under direct sunlight or from headlamps of other cars at night.

The darker the color, the smaller the car will feel like when you see from a far . (confirmed this when my sa took me to see the cars at the store)

it's actually very easy to buy from mysikap. just head down to any JPJ branch and register your mysikap id. (normally takes about 10 mins) than you are able to purhcase your number online anytime, anyday.

BTW, the facebook city group has officially become 2014 Honda City Rant Page.

is this car nice? i think its too overpriced of the high specs model.
*
you come to the City thread and ask this question. what answer do you expect to receive?

but if u go to the vios thread and ask whether the city or the vios (full specs) is better then i am afraid they will say DO NOT BUY THE VIOS!!!

btw what are are u comparing city to? preve? SS? Cerato? Vios? Almera?

if to Cerato, SS or Preve then i would say it all depends on your preferences, is fuel consumption an issue to you? is high maintenance an issue for u? is the segment of the car an issue for u?

but if you compare to vios or almera, then read this quick review and decide on your own

Guys, should i buy E spec or V spec? Bcoz i think even with 8 speakers in V spec doesn't provide a good sound quality. Advise please should i take v or safe some money and just go with E.
*
already decided to get city instead of cerato?

you want the V just becoz of the Speakers?

what about cruise control , iside airbags, auto climate air con, 7inch touch screen HU, alloy 16" rims and fog lights.

if you think these are not important and u can change those aftermarkets one, then pick E spec,

if you want more security then choose V

*
security as in safety.. like u feel more secured coz u have extra 4 airbags . maybe the wrong word lol sorry

afterall it depends on budget and how r u willing to spend them
